  1. Kool, but to be safe I'm still gonna swap 6 foreign parts for US made parts when I modify my saiga(when I buy it that is lol). I'm glad I have a great forum such as this one as a source. Thanks guys, ever have problems with a cat let me know(I can hook you up with parts and stuff).
  2. Ok I'm kinda confused by all this 922 talk. Here's what I understand: if I replace the trigger group, gas piston, and any other part with a US made part I will be making it possible to add such features as pistol grip or thumbhole stock? If the stock is US made then it to counts to the US parts list? SO to my understnading so far, I could replace 6 parts with US made parts and add a choate style stock. But what if I wanted to add a forehand pistol grip and piccatiny rail system? Do I have to replace more parts, or are they legal if they're US made as well?
  3. Blenderwizard nutty fuckjobs like you are why people are writing gun control laws. And honestly I hope I dont live anywhere near you. And if I were you I'd damn well watch what I say. Because an opinion like that is dangerous, and honestly sounds like a lil man trying to make himself feel bigger. Grow up, yea both sides broke the law, and both are going to be punished.
  4. Ok I have consulted a few local law enforcement sources. And my findings are that, it is illegal to fire warning shots at someone trespassing unless they have threatened to do you/friends bodily harm, it's called attempted murder or assault with a deadly weapon. Now if he had threatened them it would be lawful to fire warning shots, but not as he's walking away. My parents own about 1/2 a mile of land along a nice walleye river here in town, and we've had problems with tresspassers. And yes there are Hmong that fish on the public property about a 1/4 mile away, in the 20+ years they've own
  5. I have been trying to follow this case. I have family up there, and I've heard from several people that the "victims" were racist. Thats not surprising, but even if they were that doesn't give anyone the right to kill them. But if you read some newspaper reports, they can be quoted as to saying there were mulitple shots fired, but it's not clear how many rifles were involved. I live in wisconsin, and infact took to the woods this season with a chinese sks with 30rd mag(no it's not illegal). By Wisconsin DNR regs you can use any rifle with a barrel length of 16" or more larger then .22 rim
  6. still got on? Cuz if I get my tax money soon, I might be interested.
  7. These guys are right FA. I know how easy it is to have your guns taken away. I had 3 guys jump me once and after I kicked their butts horribly they threatened to come back with guns. Now I mentioned this to my mother(I was 15 at the time) and she called the cops. The boy who made the comment was the son of a columist for a sporting magazine. His dad lost all his guns, and his job as a columist. Just for a threat of violence like that. So talk of selling illegal parts wiull get you in worse crap then that.
  8. I have a chinese sks. Would that interest you. It's well maintained(owned by my father, but shot and cleaned by me).
  9. I agree that using a larger round being better is a preconceived ignorance with most shooters. I have personally shot deer with the 7.62x39 and actually had them drop instantly or sooner after then deer shot with 30-06 or 30-30's(same shot placement as well). I have a chinese sks and I love it. It's the reason I want a saiga(dont own one yet). My gf's dad says that .243 and .270 will son be the only small caliber hunting rounds available(he's a dumb/ignorant mofo), and that 7.62x39(54) are to impractical. He however has no knowledge of ballistics, and doesn't think hand loading is practic
  10. what he said cept I'm broke now....lol
  11. Have you shot it at all? and what kind of sights does it have?
  12. do you have any accessories....other then the additional mags? Like any optics?
  13. What kinda choke does it have, and how accurate is it with slugs? If you don't know how accurate then I understand. I'll try to find some info on the net then.
  14. Sweet looking stock.......I like that. I took my first deer with my dads SKS, and have been told I was either really lucky or really good shot. I like to think both. But I plan on buying a saiga 12 or 20 ga and probably a .308. I was wondering if the 12 and 20's had slug barrels or if they only came with full choke???
