  1. Damn, that's good. You can have that feeling when your security is in your own hands.
  2. But usually the plan is to continue with the business even if down sizing makes business sense. The point is to make money, otherwise what's the point? From what the article says the apparent goal is see to it these media outlets cease to exist. You really think a person who was almost an Obama cabinet member, a Obama campaign contributor and Huffington Post Blogger wants to get into "Gun Culture" publishing?
  3. http://dailycaller.com/2013/02/28/obama-donor-in-process-of-buying-up-and-destroying-americas-top-pro-gun-media-outlets/?utm_source=co2hog My "good news" take on this is that if anyone thinks these profitable niches will remain unfilled and no one is going to start up new outlets, I think they'd be greatly mistaken. One downside might be the "brands" being no longer viable but as for everything else, it can all be rebuilt. Thoughts?

  6. It's just a shame innocent, unsuspecting people died. A short drop with a sudden stop is in order.
  7. Even without the word "Certain" the phrase "National Emergencies" is vague. Ambiguities like this are the kinds of things those with bad intent look for. Maybe they'd do what they're going to do anyway but if they can claim to be adhering to the law things will go much more smoothly. I'm no legal expert but it also seems that the concept that if firearms cannot be confiscated during dire, "high stress" times they most certainly should not be taken away when everything is normal, is arguable.
  8. This part got my attention; "SEC. 3. PROHIBITION ON CONFISCATION OF FIREARMS DURING CERTAIN NATIONAL EMERGENCIES." This implies that during some national emergencies firearms can be confiscated. Why is the word CERTAIN in there?
  9. Damn, 10/22 Take Down - $500???

Back in the "old days" (last year) they were $350.

I want one, but not in stainless. I really want an evil black version, to SBR. A folding stock, and a 5.5" to 8" barrel with 1/2"x28 threads would be sweet.

I want to pick up a standard one, just in anticipation for High Tower Armory's PS90 stock that they're working on. Look it up. Dead sexxxaaay!

  11. Ok, the drying up ammo thing IMO is plausible. But the other aspect, ammoing up for an action against whomever, when do you reach a point of diminishing returns? I mean from an "offensive readiness" point of view when does it no longer matter whether you have 10 million, 50 million or 100 million rounds?

  14. I don't know how the newscast was edited but at the hearing she showed a vid of a slide-fire stock and that's what she called it. Not taking up for her, I'd be the last to do that but it was pretty straight forward. Again, the news might have edited it to give a false impression, they do do that.
  15. Geez Louise I feel like I just won the lottery. I've been using Gunbot.net for days trying to find some relatively cheap 22LR in stock with no luck. A couple of times I went away from the computer only to come back and find that it came and went. I've also been keeping the 22LR page up at SGAmmo with auto refresh. I was looking at this board and just by luck, strictly coincidence I clicked on the SGAmmo tab and DAMN! They had some in stock. So I scramble to get my wallet and as fast as I could put it in my cart and go through the check out process it was all gone. Gunbot beeps when
  16. Today's letter; Dear Sir, I am writing to you today to affirm my opposition to the ineffective, misdirected and unconstitutional gun control measures Liberals are seeking to force upon law abiding Americans. It seems that in failing to gain a consensus with the American public they are pulling out all the stops to infringe on our God given rights by any means available to them. This includes the re-framing of their arguments to imply that Gun Rights in this country are about "personal pleasure". This idea wrong, unconstitutional and frankly insulting. As you and I know Gun Rights are
  17. I thought the whole thing could be debunked but it's not encouraging to have an ATF type actually say there's a loophole. I don't know enough about NFA weapons and parts but it's always been my impression that anything NFA is scrutinized much more than "regular" firearms transactions.
