  1. YOU AND ME BOTH. Cross bolt safety goodness. This one does not appear to be a folder though, btw. My ideal would be folder, M4 buffer adapter, metail rail and metal mag well, railed GSB, and ported for shorter barrels. I know it's probably not going to happen in that exact combination. But I will promise any importer that brings one, I will buy at least ONE. if that isn't motivation, gee I don't know what is.
  2. I am fairly positive I have a shorter version of this brake in my parts bin. PM me if interested.
  3. I read that the existing handguards are compatible, but I also get the impression there is a 'NEW' hand-guard - or at least the way the hand-guard now interfaces with the new upper is different? Can FB clarify the issue?
  4. I am thinking about having a buffer tube cut and welded directly to the folding mech on a vepr. Save even more room, and the need to import the m4 folding mech.
  5. PZ - I posted this question in the legion thread as well - do you suspect this has the metal rail on the dust cover? I am really interested in this if these things turn out to be right. Legion is doing really well with this build out. If it does have a metal dust cover, the only other thing I would like in the future would be the crossbolt safety.
  6. Legion - Besides the question on the total barrel length including the perm attached Molot brake - Is the rail on dust cover plastic or metal?
  7. I think some said that was simple a removable plug on the front that made it easier to clean.
  8. Wow. Nice. Having the gas holes in a place optimized for the shorter BBL is a huge plus. Legion, can you confirm? Really want the details on how the Molot brakes are attached. Please.
  9. Sorry, I mean OAL of the barrel + muzzle device.... specifically the one with the Molot brake perm attached? Very important to also understand how that brake is attached.
  10. Can you provide a link to each? I am did not see one with a muzzle brake.. ? Disregard. Here it is: http://legionusainc.com/vepr-12-tactical-shotgun-gk-01-edition.html Can you tell us what the OAL is with the Molot Muzzle break welded on is? Details on the weld? It is easy to cut?
  11. The ring on the folder release is tac welded to the lever, probably a smarter way to 'disable' the folder. There is a close up of this on the picture thread. The muzzle device - ICK... I agree. However, people are reporting that it is pinned. Still not good, but better than soldered on, I suppose. The barrels are thin so you have to be careful with pin depth, drill depth for removal and heat for soldering. I'd much rather then left the barrel alone and put a US muzzle device non-perm for 922 if need be. Given the value of the railed gas block and labor (if you have to have one) and 92
  12. Good info, thanks. That ring is an interesting way to address the folder. Easy to nip off there for sure.
  13. It doesn't regulate, IMO. Seems like fancy marketing. One setting to solve all issues. High Pressure.
  14. Not always that easy. Due to the barrel thickness these are generally not pinned. Which means they are normally soldered. Heating the thin barrel to that temp to remove it, then re-heating again to reattach - even after the initial heat cycle to attach the Legion muzzle device - can severely weaken the barrel. That's three really hot heat cycles on thin material.
  15. I like the Legion offering, on their site now they show one with a chaos rail as well. Nice if you want the railed gas block, all done for you before you even receive. However, they say permanently attached muzzle device. WHY? Why is the muzzle device perm attached? Now I can't put on a brake of my choosing. seriously?
  16. Please PM me where to send my money! Was waiting on a handguard, will be waiting for this now instead.
  17. Surveys here are pretty skewed. If you have an experience that contradict's other's perspectives and are honest about it, you may very well end up being berated. This changes behaviors over time as participants being to self regulate, hence you end up with a result that is biased in favor of commerce and advertisers on the site.
  18. The ATF knocked on my door and asked for my S-12s as well. Not just stopping the importation, they are reversing the previous importations. They are sending them back to their country of origin.
  19. Pretty common with AK rifle systems to have barrel clamps or other such methods. No big deal. Especially on a shotgun. Not really a free-float barrel sniper. I would look at something other than an AK if extreme accuracy is your thing.
  20. Factory mags are great. SGMs work for the range, but Factory are what I use for anything serious.
  21. Bring me bacon - Does your chopped vepr with the bonesteel brake run low brass loads?
  22. Yes. Failed with the Eotech or Win U even without the optic. Shutter was removed today entirely. Yes. but before rail/chop/perm brake it ran with the eotech just fine. I think I am just barely on the line. Re-read Cobras thread, and this post probably nails it: http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/topic/86407-confirmed-optic-rail-not-useless-after-all-edit/&do=findComment&comment=877293 I can try the lighter spring, or try opening up the gas. With higher powered loads none of this is an issue so I am not sure it really matters to me - it's just running the junk is a measu
  23. On the vepr, the front rivet/screw does hit the carrier and ride it for ~inch. Apparently helps the LRBHO. Secondly with the scews from the CSS rail, the dust cover flap that rides on the recoil spring impacts (badly) the middle screw. See post #8. http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/topic/87784-chopped-barrel-with-bonesteel-brake-reduced-gas-dwell-time-ftes-with-bulk-pack/&do=findComment&comment=897029 CSS's advise was to remove the dust cover flap thingy. Which I have done for testing to make sure it wasn't a factor today, but that's why the screw was reprofiled/polished -
  24. It is an XPS. Tried it far back, far front, and middle. Remember I do have the CSS Rail on top, I did grind down mid screw and polish. The front screw I polished to a shine but didn't grind it.
