I have a kit for the type 3 milled, It has worked again, but the side plate I made started to crack. I need to fix that and heat treat it better. Also the seccond amendment wouldnt let me rebuild it in true Russian auto fassion, oh sorry I ment fat a$$ Bueracrats wouldnt. Either way thats probably the closest I will get, unless the 1984 Red Dawn appens...

I snaged one with the fixed stock, I prefer them to a majority of the folding stocks. I just got the wood refinished, It looks great, especialy as tore up, and cosmoline filled as they were. I am hopfully starting on the barrel assembley this weekend. -
I am still waiting on my 7.62x39 barrel so I can get my SAR built. I am still just thankfull Jeff got somone to make them. Do you know what your turn around time will be.

A good way to find the load is to do a ladder load. Start with your current carge as a middle, and go like this 21.0, 21.3, 21.6, 21.9, 22.2, 22.5 and on and on. I usualy end up with 18 rounds to test, all with .3 grain diffrence. Sarpie the charge, and shot number on the casing to keep track of them. When you shoot fire one round, mark it wit the number, and fire another, keep going up the ladder till you start to see signs of excess pressure, thats where you stop. You should end up with a vertical string of numbered shots. What you are looking for is the highest grouping. That puts your -

If it all fits that way, and looks right you are good to go. Its only a SBR if you cut the barrel, or do not have a permanently attached flash hider to make it the 16 inches. So ith the long flash hider you could cut the barrel, as long as the flash hider is permanently attached. Could, but if it was me doing it I would do it just as you are. The Russian, or the Bulgarian sight you are looking at does not just slide on, the barrel diameter is different. One goes right on, the other needs to have the barrel turned down, and I do not recall what one is what so keep that in mind. As for t
