5.56 shot from a pistol barrel well generally have less velocity than from a rifle barrel. Does anyone have any rough data on velocities out of pistol barrels? Any chance the momentum would be low enough to be defeated by lvl II or IIIA armor? Just curious.

My local shop is supposed to get a shipment in a month or so, but I'm afraid they'll be overpriced like most of their stuff. They have a stack of "Last of the Russians" Saiga .223s that have sat for the last 2 months.

It's a good deal. I paid 640 for mine in 08. If you have the extra $$, spend it on a VEPR 12. Less hassle.

I do, the weather's finally breaking here. But I'm still trying to get some boxes of 5.45 ammo (local store won't have any silver bear until next week, and I don't want to bust into any tins). Hey Salty. I'm glad I picked up what I did, when I did. A little 7n6, M67, x39, .22LR. Even picked up some 5.56 and .308 here and there, just in case.

sportsmansguide is nearly out of all x39 ammo. they normally have a bunch. sgammo only has silverbear left. Gander mountain shows no anticipated delivery of x39 and .22 LR for Indiana.

They actually presented this during our church service a few years ago. I didn't understand it then. It's made so much sense in the last 2 years.

Finally got a slant break in. Bore sight's fine. The threads on the other break were bad (IDK somehow). But the barrel threads are too long and it doesn't hit the detent pin. Looking into a spacer or locking washer now. Looking better though.

I never gave the 5.45 any thought until I did some research. I know it doesn't fragment, but I like how it tumbles. My local shop has a VEPR 5.45 for $899 + tax, they've had it for 2 months. (only place I've found one now). Is the better build worth the extra price (vs WASR or AK-74)? Is the 5.45 even a practical round to get into at this point?

Didn't you know that every month is white history month? Geeze, I've had that spewed at me since I was 10. Indeed, where are the events to celebrate white culture. I'm down for a white....entertainment television, miss America, history month, college, study of Clint Eastwood (as opposed to beyonce) in college, NAAWP. Ugh
