I have a pile of slings around for other objects of American and German engineering. V-tac, Tactical Tailor, BDS, Specter Gear. I agree the size & mass of the MKA don't work well with single points. If you have to work from a knee, or use your hands it's difficult to keep in a good position. The MKA is 36" long, so even it is dead even with your shoulder the barrel is going to slapping you in the knees and you don't want to know about the pistol grip. Okay now that I have this awesome shotgun, I am now looking for the best Tac-sling. I currently am using a Eagle 3-point. I would go with a single point but I am not sure if this will put undue stress on the tele-stock. Okay here is the way I cut my stock. Everything worked so easy it seemed like I was missing something. Again I used my bench top table saw. I have a sled I made for it. Everything is squared up box, blade, etc.

Here is what the blocks look like. They are used to hold a brass catcher. The block slided along the rail. Then you put in the screw and tighten. The block will not move. For your project I think the idea would be easily adaptable.

Matt, I have an easy solution to the mount. I have a block that holds my brass catchers. All of it is made from a single block of aluminum. Tomorrow I will take some pictures and post them. Maybe you will see something that you can adapt. Basically it has a hole on one side and threads on the other. Then a brass screw goes through one of the picatinny slots to keep it from sliding. I have about 60 of them and have never had a malfunction. I had a shop make them and they ran less than $5 each.

Here is a thought. Maybe someone can see a flaw in the plan. I have a sled I made for my table saw. It is straight and true on all angles. It has two tracks on the bottom to run in the miter slots. The blade passes up through the sled so that you can cut parts that don't fit well on a standard miter. I am thinking of placing the gun upside down on it's rail. Then clamp it front to back, and top to bottom, using shims to assure a 90 degree cut front to back. Then raise the blade to the proper height, easily clearing the PG.
