  1. Why cut it? 1) Modding stuff is fun. 2) I like all size mags, even the small ones are cool. When I'm at the range with my ak I like using a 10 rounder sometimes. Just seems more appropriate skeet shooting to not have a large clip protruding.
  2. Wrong. Win X are 1255 fps and despite as advertised "no problems" with target ammo. problems and problems. I did not realize there was a third kind of ammo. I just saw the breast cancer Federals and a Fiocchi box. It might help to list them a little better as most will probably skim the videos, like I did. There is like five of them, hard to tell on some which ammo you are running, and the wind hurts my ear balls. = p
  3. All foreign vendors. From my understanding Molot only makes 8 rounders. So anything smaller or larger costs more, because all it is, is a modified 8 rounder. Meaning more man hours which = greater cost. I've been stalking foreign vendors to see if they would ship any Molot mags to no avail. However, I noticed 5 rounders and 4 rounders were more expensive than 8 rounders in other countries. The most expensive Molot magazine I found was a 2 rounder, I imagine cause it takes the most amount of work. As i stated in another thread, it makes no sense we have these cheap 5 rounders and no 8 r
  4. Nooo.... I weirdly do feel a little guilty getting lucky on these. All I can offer back to the community is a write up on how to install an MFT forend lower grip on a Vepr 12, a list of my favorite alcohol, a how to make sushi guide, tips on how to play Super Street Fighter 4 AE edition, grilling tips, and tips on how to make good tacos...
  5. I did. I didn't want to come out and say it, as to boast.. but I won't lie either. hahah I grabbed up the last ones. I can't thank you enough for the heads up on these. I wish there was a way to show you my gratitude. If there was a way to send beer and tacos over the internet you would be set. = ]
  6. Aeromat209, you are awesome!!! Thanks for the heads up on those Molot mags.
  7. I'm on the alert list and did not receive an email from them regarding these, even though I received an email today about another product. These sell, but not that fast. Either was a system error, they had very very low number restock, or some jerk bought them out to flip...
  8. Tips: 1. Be away from little ears. Lots of f bombs incoming. 2. Wear gloves. 3. You need to find a way to hold the tube while you twist the grip. I couldn't find a good way to lock in a vice. Some people have said they use a cleaning rod and place it horizontally through the rear of it, where the tube locks in on the firearm. (That might not make sense. The tube has a front which is flat, and the rear which has two lips to lock in). I have found the cleaning rod method to not work well for hard to twist grips. Try to find a piece of thick metal that completely fills those rear gro
  9. SGM's mags don't look that bad cut down to 8. Maybe I'll keep one and cut it to two for skeet shooting. = ]
  10. I'm a right sided folder myself. A folding stock's primary purpose is for transportation purposes. For transportation right side folding is better. It is away from the body if carried on the side, and if folded and on your back it is away from the body. If there is any chance that the firearm might need to be deployed, it should already be unfolded. Firing a weapon folded is for movies.
  11. I've been really surprised at how well crayola turns out.. and I have commitment issues and easiest to undo.. so I might take the dive... hahah
  12. @ lewie212 Is that crayola, nail polish, paint, or what did you decide on for you lettering mod?
  13. What brake did you decide to go with? Can't wait to see your build when complete. Going to be super jelly of your new gas block. Do you expect to have to open up the ports any since your shortening the barrel? @3Gun Definitely not the best looking, but I'm all for function over looks too. I would add more bandages and try to make it look like a pieced together post-apocalyptic shotgun. bwhahah
  14. Thanks!! That is a primary arms, however will be an Eotech very shortly. I decided to go with an m4 stock because I have always wanted a shotgun with an Eotech RDS. I was planning on chopping the barrel and permanently attaching a brake, however I have commitment issues. I plan on skeet shooting some with her, and I am really interested in playing with chokes. I also would like to see how much a flash hider will tame the flames at night. My ideal set up would be a tax stamp so I can have a shorter barrel and still swap out my muzzle attachments. I'm thinking about welding on a rail to t
  15. Good find!! However, it appears it connects also using part SG-338 for stability. Part SG-338 is a handguard retainer. Maybe it would work without? I sort of doubt it though, seems to be a keep design feature of the SG-405. Not sure if the SG-338 is compatible, or the SG-405 for that matter, but you would have to cut off your current handguard retainer to find out. I really wish we would have got to keep the rail on the bottom of our gas block...
  16. I'm liking it more and more. Here is a better picture of my entire setup so far. It keeps changing hahah
  17. Thanks for chiming in ObiWan. Makes sense. I've been bugging people about the brake just to see if this post: http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/topic/82674-veper-12-lemon-or-pos-weapon/?p=856890 could imply something with brakes and the Vepr 12, or if just coincidence.
  18. I brought it up because another member on the forum stated they had problems till they removed a brake. I could how it could be possible. Muzzle devices can impact the amount of gas in the system. A perfect example would be the purpose of cone muzzle devices on Krinkovs to help them cycle reliability. I could be wrong, but like I said someone else on here stated it as there experience so I've been bugging people about it to either prove or disprove it.
  19. Hey Mike, might be a trade secret, but could you shed any light on how the Enidine stock or chopping the barrel effected the firearm? Was it gtg or did it cause cycling issues that had to be dealt with is basically my question? I'm dying to put an Enidine stock on mine but afraid of how it might effect cycling. Thanks
  20. Did you try running without the brake? The brake might cause problems with low FPS shells. Probably not, but worth trying.
  21. Thanks! 3 Answers: 1. Polymer and US made. 2) I bought it from Ultimak, it is US made. It is polymer. 3) It will not fit because it attaches to 2 holes in the lower handguard. Those holes are like tubes in the lower handgaurd that have to be cut out for the barrel to fit inside. If enough people are interested I can do a write up on this. I think for both lower and upper handguard I am still < $50. This took me quite a lot of time and alchohol to figure out. Someone with less alchohol, better tools, and a write up could do it in probably less than half the time it took me. A
  22. Sorry if was confusing, was sleepy when I wrote that. The mod is making a MFT Tekko hanguard fit on the Vepr 12.
  23. Most annoying mod ever. I probably could have widdled an RPK handguard out of a block of wood in the same amount of time. Lots of cutting with a pocket knife, and dremeling made it possible. It comes with a rail on the left and right side, but you need to mod it even further to be able to have both rails attached at the same time. I planned on using only one rail anyway and taking the other side of regardless. It is an MFT Tekko grip. I didn't want the top railed handguard, so purchased a US made plain smooth top handguard. This was plan from the begining, which once again worked out be
