  1. We'll just have to agree to disagree ont eh barrel. nothing to write home about.
  2. no doubt once you convert you're fine. even a G2 will do, though a well tuned RSA rivals any Giselle or Jewell I've had. this is for people in ban states or folks who just like them teh way they are but hate the triggger.
  3. I foudn the KVAR to be the closest to perfect. by far the lowest, a biiiiiiiiiiiiiiit to the left, but I suspect you could play with teh mount ot get it perfectly centered.
  4. nope just thinking out loud. getting the drawings done by people more skilled than I! found the problem, found a ghetto solution (shotgun shell), read up on trigger shoes (more HK than others) and tried to draw up a trigger shoe that stabalizes itself for the harsh saiga pull. the hk shoes are kinda floating and don't need to be stabalized on two or three points cause the pull on a MSG90 is already cleaner than a virgin's panties and already pretty straight to the rear (coincidentally how I like my virgins as well :-). the one for the saiga would have to be AK tough to keep it straight
  5. If you are worried about changes in POI to the degree that you find a handguard bipod mounting questionable (where do you hold onto the front of your weapon?)... I don't think you might want to WELD on the front bottom side of a STAMPED receiver under the front TRUNNION...maybe. Terrible things happen to how guns shoot when this sort of thing is done. And, a Saiga .308 has a "relatively thin barrel"...compared to what? A aircraft chain gun? Jus' wondering. Lollygagger a) saiga has a very thin barrel compared to other 308's with 22 inch barrels. b - I'm not worri
  6. I'd love your opnions - http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showtopic=10788
  7. I don't need to explain why the saiga stock trigger is unacceptble for long range benchrest shooting. almost every part of my saiga 22" 308 was made for consistent group placement, except the trigger. It was pretty crisp on teh break, but that long transfer bar made what should have been a short rear pull into a LOOOOONG upward pull, and with th estock as it is, impossible to pull cleanly CONSSITENTLY - once in a while I could get t eh perfect pull, but only with my finger all the way on top of trigger and a firm sharp pull to rear. This got me thinking that if I always pull a tthe top, I'd
  8. if we're talking 'super tacitcal here' the handguard is no better than teh barrel for mounting. the problems are a) vibration (nothing you can do about that) barrel or handguard based bipods will affect POI at longer ranges. Not alot, but if you're shooting froma bipod and zero your rifle, then you shoot standing, the POI (over a looooong time) will change. 'specially with teh saigas relatively thin barrel. That's from wha tI've read, I'm no expert. I'm guessing logic dictates that ALWAYS shooting fromt eh bipoid will give you teh same POI. The idea I had for this was to use the spac
  9. +1 my setup before selling .... IOR super M2 in 308 mounted waaaay rear on a KVAR side mount.
  10. new price - 500$ shipped (East of the mississippi, otherwise add 10$)
  11. wicked deal for readily availble mags. can't believe what I've paid for mine over the past year!
  12. It's in the ad, I just like to remind popel to make an offer on top of the ad.... my prices are not set in stone. and yeah I paid ALOOOOT more than I'm asking! ---------------- Lord knows what I paid for everything, but I'm gonna ask 1000$ for everything minus the scope, or 1450$ for the whole shebang. Prices do NOT include shipping. Take it all and you get magpuls for all the mags too. THE ONLY TRADES I'M LOOKING FOR ARE AFFORDABLE LONG RANGE RIFLES 30 CALIBER OR LARGER must be tough and accurate, e.g. Cherry condition ShmidtRubin or Mauser 98K, FN PBR new generation or compa
  13. lots of bills, no job. :-( If I get a ojb in the next week, I'm keeping it though :-) I have everything I needed to turn it into a real rifle, but need cash BAD. http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showtopic=10724

  21. saiga 308 w/ 7 mags -----> 550$ shipping not included Rifle is a like new 22 inch barreled saiga in 308 Kalashnikov USA import with wood furniture. THE ONLY TRADES I'M LOOKING FOR ARE AFFORDABLE LONG RANGE RIFLES 30 CALIBER OR LARGER must be tough and accurate, e.g. Cherry condition ShmidtRubin or Mauser 98K, FN PBR new generation or comparable (box magazine, fluted 20-24 barrel, full scope rail), etc. Don't need the most tactical package, just something to throw this IOR or a super sniper on and shoot long range, Semi-auto's okay but are probably too expensive for me.....
  22. holy mother of god that's hot. a) that scope is calibrated for the 545 round though right? GREAT work on teh stock latch. I mean WOW. c) more info on teh galil mag is required!!!!!!
  23. I thought about that stock too for my upcoming conversion, but decided to go a different way. BUT if you want it, yyou should wait a little bit, cause magpul is making a longer cheekpiece for non AR platforms (specifically the sig556, but same connector as an AR)... see here: http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=2&f=124&t=150266 magpul RULES. I do have aPRS for my precision AR, but I thought it would ad WAY too much weight to an already weighty saiga. it's a HEAVY stock.... see here about half way down (I'm chapperjoe there too!) http://www.ar15.com/forums/to
  24. Shotgun is an FN TPS. She's got 15 rounds through her. So barely used. But shes not in perfect condition, as I am not too soft with my guns! For example, there are marks around the rear sight base from when I put it in the nite sites. On that note, she comes with Meprolight nite sites, not new, but they still glow. There are also some marks on the right side of the shotgun, not visible unless you shine a light on them, they're just marks ont eh parkerizing from in and out of safe, not scratches. Surefire foreend. Hogue Grip. Like New Magpul 93B stock with strike plate. sidesa
