  1. I am looking at getting a Saiga .223 and I have some questions with regards to .223 chambers vs 5.56 chambers. First, is the Saiga a .223 chamber or a 5.56 chamber? Second, can the Saiga .223 digest 5.56 ammo reliably and safely or does the rifle prefer .223? Thanks in advance.
  2. ughhhh that is hideous California sucks.
  3. No you don't, I had a gunsmith drill out the pin holes with a hand drill. He just took his time.
  4. I have never liked RSO or "Range monitors".
  5. Is that a laminated stock. If so, where did you purchase it?
  6. For some reason, as of like 2 or three days ago, I can no longer see replies to a thread. I have to click on the post to see it? Whats going on? Did I accidentally change a setting?
  7. http://gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=133306254 I don't think you could gold plate a Saiga and ask for that much.
  8. the instructors that trust thier trainees well enough to go down range? yes. pfft And violate every COMMON SENSE notion about gun safety?
  9. Are these the same people that have the camera man down range while people are firing?
  10. It doesn't make the gun "louder" it just throws back more sound waves towards the shooter.
  11. My roomate has a Saiga as well. For some reason when I bought mine I got a long cleaning rod and when we bought his he got a short one. We traded cleaning rods.
  12. Looks great, Shellshock! What type of gas tube is that.. Bulgarian/Chinese? Bulgarian
  13. Finally, my Saiga Saga has come to an end. Special thanks to VJOR for allowing me to purchase his old gas block!!!!!
  14. You sure that the AK was originally designed to have a stamped receiver? Yep, generation 1 production AK-47s had a stamped receiver - as it was part of the original design, ease of manufacture. Hmm, I never knew that. Thanks.
  15. Nice rifle. I hope to finish my AK-103 style configuration soon. Where did you get that mag pouch from?

  17. I've seen many people say this but I think this is the most overstated point about the Vz58. The safety is still terrible, in some ways more awkward. Its on the wrong side if you ask me. The cocking handle is slightly better, but you still have to cross over your line of sight in order to re-charge the weapon. The magazine release also isn't any better, and I personally think it is worse. Neither of them are AR15s. ORLY? I didn't notice that.

  19. So, it is pretty much a Saiga-M3 EXP-01 with a fixed stock. Still doesn't sound like a bad weapon. Might be over priced, but it is a Russian and these times are crazy with pricing. Okay... this makes sense. I had just never seen them before and thought the only game in town was a Saiga + full conversion. So... which to get? - Milled Bulgy - Russian Legion Arsenal - Hungarian SA-85M Any opinions? If you are going to get a milled receiver 762x39, get a vz 58 http://www.czechpoint-usa.com/
