Did you get the AK model or the VEPR-12 specific model?

what type of ammo were you using? Just watched the video Did you change out the trigger or do anything to it? Did you file down your safety to make it easier to select? That is definitely a weird ass problem that you have to change the safety back down to fire whe you shoot it. I'm going to take mine apart tomorrow and try and figure out where yours would be having that issue. How the muzzle brake would factor into that is waaaay beyond me.

hey guys, I already posted a picture of mine in the other thread but my stock came with flat head screws, I removed the old stock and installed the new one in less than 5 minutes, because I had to rub the oil off the stock is why it took me so long FREAKIN' LOVE IT

Here's mine, I found that I do actually prefer the right side folder because the charging handle sticks out and having the folder on the same side keeps it from ripping into the carry cases I use. You can manipulate and fire the shotgun like this, however I haven't tried and don't really care that much to do so. The current stock on there is temporary until my Magpul CTR stock gets here. I was shooting at the range today... I seriously think I'm in love with this shotgun!

I asked them when they should be expecting more and if they will be offering those russian railed handguards for sale in the future. Hopefully they do start bringing in some accessories like that!

Just got my bonesteel folder yesterday, its the right side folder and it does NOT interfere with the charging handle, and I found I can actually manipulate the safety with the stock extended out. However its easy to flip it back into place so there's really no reason to fire it unfolded. The stock locks up solid, the only thing I'm hating right now is the temporary collapsible stock on it, because its rattling around like no other and I want my damn Magpul CTR stock to show up!

I have the bonesteel galil style right side folder warsaw length for one of my AK-74's, you can fire it like that or easily flick it back with your fingers, I really really like the design of it

my right side folder should be here by Saturday, hopefully I can install it and get a good impression. So far I'm liking the way the left folder works, makes me wonder if I should've got that one instead.... oh well

Not that it matters here in a bit since my alternate stock is on its way, but has anybody who still has the original stock on experienced the stock becoming loose?

I went back to the range today and shot Federal Game loads 8 shot and 7.5 shot at 1290 FPS (I was incorrectly stating it was 1295 FPS, my bad) and had ZERO malfunctions, however I did not use the SGM magazines. I cannot recommend enough the Federal Game load shots, it was the same price for me to buy 100 shells as it was to buy the Winchester target loads, so I ended up getting 9 boxes, hopefully I get to go shoot it tomorrow. I also did not have any bolt hold open issues today. I am wearing heavy gloves for the cold, so I'm pretty sure you're right Captain Hero that I probably was accide

I don't know how the brake would hamper cycling... that just doesn't seem to make sense. The only reason I was having a hard time cycling Federal was because I put them in the SGM magazines

hdskumm, I'm going to try that, do you have any other issues after the break in using low brass? That is the exact issue I'm having. If that's the fixer then I'm not worried.

Question: Is the brake supposed to be canted a little off? I've got the barrel nut on there and with all my force and might it doesn't end up being completely square with the front sight, it is slightly canted, is that right or wrong? Do I need to get something and tug that shit on tighter?

Muffman, the only time I was having trouble with shells was when I was using the SGM magazines. When I shot the federal 7.5 and 8 shots at 1295fps through my Vepr, it just gobbled that shit up like it was nothing! Very excited to know mine works well with the brake on and the light loads. I'm thinking of picking up a pack of chokes for hunting. Do they make a 2 round magazine for this?
