I've tried remington, winchester, federal, fiochi, and nobel the nobel, which has the clear disk in the end, is at the bottom of the list for this.. Fiochi seems to deform the least. the shot is better supported in a plastic holder.. (the #4 buck is at least) as far as remington, add a drop of candle wax to the end to seal it better.. the shot is surrounded by a granulated filler that gets all over the place when the end come open a little.. while I've used winchester & federal, I can't rember how they compared to remington..other than they were sealed on the ends a little better.

good to deal with, good communication, no surprises.. would not hesitate to deal with again..

measurements based of my 19" 109.. Note this has a tromix flash hider style polychoke, but the cutts compensator type may be the same length.. bolt face to end of barrel, with nut 19" bolt face to end of knurling on polychoke 20.25" this is close to the end of the petals on the inside. bolt face to end of polychoke (flashhider) 21.5" from previous posts around 2/15/06, I believe the barrel length of the short 108's were 17.2" you would have to verify this length.. so based on the diffrence in lengths of the poly choke, 17.2"+1.2"=18.4" looks like it woud be long enough.. t

I've got a saiga I bought in 3/2007 new.. this is one of the models that had the barrel extensions on them, as described on page 97-98 of the saiga 12 forums.. look for dates around feb 15, 2006.. The barrel extension is one of the screw on chokes, in cylinder bore, but permanently mounted. This model does not have the bolt hold open. date on this is 2001, stamped RAAC.. would come in original box, with original accessories & 5 rd magazine.
