i believe all s&s engines are epa approved, all you need is mso and receipt for engine and trans have it inspected by local gestapo!i built my bike in 2000 and several others here in the police state of ct.only attitudes to deal with just have paper work to back it up.my bike has a paughco frame i raked to 40 deg,,harley engine,cam eddlebrok carbs and 4 speed.on night of shakedown left for sturgis next day! great ride .if you have any question ill try to help
