  1. I'm also looking into this. I'd love to get mine reamed/threaded for Remchokes.
  2. Can't wait to get home and have some quality time with the.....Saigas.

  3. On topic, JIM: Does her "Light-weight" rifle, that you still haven't provided pics of, have a railed forearm?
  4. Easy solution, take the scope off. A light-weight rifle shouldn't have 3/4-1.5lbs of optics on it. imho. If she needs an optic, a magnified one is not the best choice either. If it's a PSOP style scope, get the rubber eyepiece for it. Provides proper eye relief AND cushion for Scope-eye relief
  5. I just did a search for the picture on Google and found that so I posted it. BUT I also read that the officers are using that sign to get people to exit on a ramp that gets little to no traffic on it because there are no services....
  6. unfortunately there really is not alot of gas pressure at the muzzle for ports to work and the baffles would need to be large (a-la Maxrounds, or a Barret 50cal tank-brake style) to work. The muzzle attachments out there for a 12ga are mostly for looks. they work but not like a rifle brake. You won't see a 50% reduction in recoil or anything, so get one that also looks cool from any of the reputable dealers on this site. I think Carolina Shooter's Supply has a good selection.
  7. Man, i usually have to wait and wait and wait for my loctite to set. I need you to do my future loctite jobs.
  8. My mind is on all the 20ga tweaking i need to do... i want this baby to run.

  9. Cutting the barrel down past 18" is silly IMO. One, you lose the ability to take off the comp/brake and with some matches allowing IRON-SIGHT and NON-Ported/Comp'd Saigas in Tactical instead of open, being able to take off the brake is something i would want. Also, you'll get MUCH more performance out of CHOKES than you will with any other muzzle attachment. For the muzzle brake to do anything, it needs to vent gasses away and most 12ga attachments have very little surface area to work with. IMO, if i were starting over and making a 12ga competition gun i'd do the following: Gh
  10. Instead of removing all the material from the front trunion/rear-leaf area, why not notch out the rail a bit to at least clear the pivot pin?
  11. Hold it. She doesn't want anything else? How about you buy her an 8 lb weight and let her do a few curls? Seems a cheap alternative. She gets stronger, instead of the gun getting lighter. Can you post a picture of the rifle you have for her? If she knows how to use the AK why not just try to help her get a bit stronger? It's not like the AK weighs a ton... I'd recommend buying a 3, 5, & 8lb weight and just working with her on some strength training.... She keeps the AK and you get a stronger woman. win-win. ~SN
  12. It Fed the rounds fine, but the tension on the 11-14 was high, so my bolt lost ALOT of energy and failed to close that last bit where the extractor claw rides up. I've since cut a few coils and will be going back to the range to re-test. The design is not bad, and is very promising. I'm excited for the S-20 community. P.S. I've not yet done bolt mods or polishing to my 20. It's in the most basic conversion stage. Just dropped parts in and shot it. Nothing special yet. Will update with mods to tweak function / reduce drag etc. at a later time
  13. They hold more than 10 but i was having issues getting 11-14 to feed / cycle reliably but 10 down worked 99% so i loaded 10 and shot a quick vid.
  14. Super stoked for S-20 mags to become available....

  15. If you do an internet search for Ghost Ring Sights for Saiga-12 you may find something.
  16. Not exactly, his buddy reported it stolen and then the police came down on him and the buddy gave up the shooter. Was not stolen, was "Borrowed". Reading is Fuuuuuuuun-damental
  17. Fucking ass hole. Tarnishing the Saiga name!
  18. I liked Makc's avatar.... So, with his permission. BOOYA!

  19. So yeah they actually did have that many. Plus the article is only reflecting the past 18 months of NICS checks. In FL they skip the NICS if you have a CCW right? And that does not count actual purchases of firearms, because I normally buy several at the same time (hey they charge $5 for the background check). They don't skip the background check, only the waiting period.
  20. I like that All of Kentucky is armed and 34% have a backup weapon.... (KY per 100,000 Residents - 134,000 Background Checks) Now I believe it is supposed to be 34,000 but it's not what it says. 134,000 background checks for every 100,000 people. NICE.
  21. I recently Tested a High-Capacity Magazine. Which one, will remain anonymous for now. It's exciting. We're almost there.
