    Well I'll put my 2 cents worth.............The saiga sights like other AK iron sights, Suck! You might look at replacing them with a drop-in type sight, like the one by Mojo sighting system. Even if your problem ends up being ammo or something else, you'll end up with a much better iron sight. http://mojosights.com/ak47_sks.html

    Don't waste your money. I had one and couldn't get rid of it fast enough. Lots of good .380s on the market. Pay a little more and get a pistol you can count on!

    Has anyone painted their saiga using an air-brush. If so what paint do you recommend? I'm starting with just the stock and handguards.

    I saw a lightly used saiga .223 in the gun shop today and I thought of offering to trade for my new X39 for the .223 both have are 16" I have two 7.62x39s, one I shoot and the other is just sitting in my safe. When I purchased the x39 they didn't have any .223 Would I be unwise to trade the x39 for the .223? Would it be better to have one of each or is this splitting hairs?

    Post some pics of your painted saiga. Complete paint job or just painted stock, handguard. What paint did you use?

    Look at the Springfield XD-45 comes in several sizes. Its a great gun and you can't go wrong.

    Is the Factory butt stock the same all saiga models? Or are they different. Can you interchange them without any modifications?

    Some of the venders do offer FCG for non converted saigas. I hear they are a great improvement. I believe Dinzag offers them.
