  1. I don't know why, but I just counted my S-12 mags. I've got fifteen. I think that is a good number. How many do you have? How many do you want? How many is enough? How many is too much and actually an unhealthy obsession? WJ
  2. I must have missed the introduction of the new logo. I like it; very nice!!!!!
  3. Can't stand University of Michigan; LOVE Michigan State University. Go Spartans. It was a great game-they dominated Michigan. WJ The only good thing about Michigan is that Juggs has a son going there, I believe. Otherwise, a Wolverine is just another rodent. I was glad to see Alabama lost to South Carolina. Maybe there will be some rational discussion on the Paul Finebaum show-for a change. I can't stand that show. How could Sirius radio give a clearly pro-Alabama, regional show, with a huge bias toward one football conference; a national platform. Hate that show; but
  4. Happy Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. Months and months and months ago, I sent my Lone Star Arms S-12 out to be cerakoted in a NWU digital camo. I finally got the call yesterday that the cerakote dude is finally done with my guns I am looking forward to seeing them. After all these months, hopefully they will have turned out the way I want them to look. He is also sending back one of my Daewoo DR-200s, which is supposed to come back in Sig Sauer winter digital camo. I will say this, taking up the hobby of buying customized Saiga weapons has done more to teach me patience than years of catholic school!!!! WJ
  6. First thing I did was have my wife drive me to Arby's for a Jamocha shake. I don't know why, but I love those things. I have been drinking them for about 45 years! Then, a big roast beef sandwich. Nothing too exotic as we had to get home to pick up the 14 year old from school. My wife is laughing at me, though. She says I kept asking her the same question over and over again. I don't remember, but I'll take her word for it. WJ
  7. Thanks guys. I am not too worried, just a bit concerned. It will be a few days before I have the results, but hopefully it will be good news. WJ
  8. Well, it went pretty well. They did find a polyp, which they will biopsy, but other than that, he seemed pleased with the results. I have lost about 18 pounds in six weeks, though, and that is not a good sign. When he asked if I've lost weight and I said yes, the expression on his face changed (Really nice doctor,, but I suspect he is not a poker player!) . But, I have been running a lot more in the last four or five weeks, so hopefully that is why the weight is down. WJ
  9. Okay, we have a family history of polyps and other intestinal problems, so every five years I get to subject myself to a colonoscopy ----- Oh joy. Anyway, things are normally fine and I expect the same result tomorrow. However, you cannot eat (well, anything of substance or of taste) for about 30 hours before the procedure. So, right now, I'm pretty darn hungry. So, if you could not eat for 30 hours, what would you eat as soon as you had the go ahead to do so? I don't know why, but I'm craving a McDonald's egg McMuffin. Or maybe Nachos. Public service announcement: I
  10. Thanks, Arik, the sign issue is good to know. I was looking at the Volvo web site a while ago, and they have side trips to other locations for a very reasonable fee. They have a three day trip to Rome, which might be interesting and warmer. That trip has two days in Gothenburg and three days in Rome. That might be a good alternative to -20 degrees in Sweden. I have always wanted to see the Coliseum, so that is pretty appealing. I think a picture of me, in front of the Coliseum, wearing a Juggernaut produced t-shirt would look very nice! Only problem with that is I've got ab
  11. The Volvo factory is in Gothenburg, so we fly there, spend the night and get the car the next day. So, we will have four or five days to sight see.
  12. It is finally time to get serious about replacing my car. As I think I mentioned before, Volvo is offering two free round trip tickets to Sweden if you buy a Volvo through their overseas delivery program. They also ship the car back for free; give you one night in a hotel and a tour of the factory (and, the deal clincher, a Swedish meatball lunch!) So, I need a new car and my 17 year old wants to go somewhere for a senior trip. So, I ordered a new Volvo yesterday and Alyssa and I will be flying over to Sweden in late December to pick it up. While this is an awesome deal/plan, my timing is
  13. Okay, it is September 17th. I just checked my bank account and my $306.00 is there (finally). So, after I processed the request for an electronic transfer on August 26th, it took twenty three days for my money to arrive. I am glad I have it, but it took far too long for them to get my money to me. I cannot, in good faith, put money in that account again, which is a shame. I did want them to succeed. WJ
  14. I got a lengthy group e-mail from GPal today. They are clearly concerned that some people are threatening their employees (Well, that sure is surprising, isn't it!). They are also saying they will get people paid and anyone who threatens them with claims of extortion; fraud or other illegal activities may hear from their counsel. I say, good luck with that. They have caused so much grief and inconvenience that while I do not believe that they have actually done anything illegal, people are certainly free to at least accuse them of a breach of the fiduciary duty owed to those who have entru
  15. PA be careful using PayPal in such a fashion. I did that about 1 1/2 years ago, I told the buyer to be discrete, to not reference anything about firearms in the correspondence. The fool processed the payment and put a note in the payment that it was for a 5.56 rifle. He did this against my instructions. PayPal froze my account and imposed what they called a "Life Time' ban on me. However, I was much more convincing than I think they were expecting and I got them to lift their "Life Time" ban, but I did have to promise in writing that I would not use there services again for firearms. As
  16. For those of you who have not dealt with GPal, the really annoying thing about this issue, besides not getting your money back, is the fact that as soon as you process the transfer request, from your GPal account, to your linked account, the money "disappears." That is, it immediately leaves your GPal account, reducing your balance. Your GPal account then reflects that the transfer has occurred, but then the money does not show up in your linked account. So, your money is, at least temporarily, lost in "cyber space." From the customer's prospective the money does not show up anywhere. Th
  17. I waited a long time to go public on this forum about GPal. Trust me, I have tried several avenues of redress short of contacting the California State Attorney General's Office, the F.B.I. or suing them. It took that much work to get my $3,700.00 back. It may be true, that they are having issues with their servicing bank, but they have changed banks at least once. This problem has been going on since at least April. At a bare minimum, they should not be accepting new deposit from customers until they can assure them that their funds are safe and are "on demand" for immediate return
  18. Wow, does GPal suck!!!!!!!!!!! I signed up with them several months ago. Everything was fine for the first few transactions. Then, they were very slow sending money from my GPal account back to me. However, they seemed to get the problems resolved. Then, I sold a few things and had about $3,700.00 in my GPal account. I processed a withdrawal and it took them weeks to electronically return my money---Yes, weeks. They had every business excuse in the world for the delay, but an internet search revealed that they were having major issues with their bank and other problems. I did get the m
  19. I hate to admit it, but I've not been out shooting in about 10 months!!!!!!!!!!!! -- Pathetic. On the car front, I'm about ready but the wife is totally against a Camaro and likely so would my insurance company with a 17 year old. I am not sure what I am going to get, maybe another Subaru or a Volvo. I was reading the Volvo web site last week and they will give you two free round trip tickets if you want to go to Sweden and get the car, one free night in a hotel near the factory, they ship the car back for free, they give you a tour of the factory and a free swedish meatball lunch
  20. Thanks for the well wishes. We have a new puppy, a pomeranian, and she is in the puppy crazy chewing, biting, peeing, etc., mode. So, I've been off the PS3 for a while helping my daughter with the furry fuzz ball of fury. But, I hope to get back to the game soon. WJ
  21. Thanks Cobra and tritium, I appreciate it. The big 54! Hard to believe I am almost old enough for a senior citizen discount at I-HOP! WJ
  22. I'm late too! Happy belated birthday. (note to self-check forum more often) WJ
