TonyRumore 1,332
I finally got around to updating the aging Tromix website. There are a bunch of new pics and a much larger selection of custom options. www.tromix.com Tony Rumore Tromix Corp
headshot 52
I found this amusing: Tromix Saiga 12gashown with Bulgarian wire folding stock, perfect for those who prefer painful recoil.
andypote 2
Ok, Tony we see you have a Halo Quad, is it as good as it has been made out to be. Pros vs Cons ??
BobAsh 582
I've checked out the Halo, it's a very solid, well-made piece. The casting is very sharp, and it's nice and heavy. Edited to add: Cons? None if you like this sort of thing...personally, I think it's a bit large. But then again, I don't have rails on my AR, either. I guess if you want an optic, a flashlight, front grip, laser, bottle opener, etc it would be handy to have...lots of real estate on that thing. Zoub 0
Tony, Can you thread a Saiga 12 to take Remington chokes for a 12 gauge? If so, could you leave the external threads alone too? Can you backbore a barrel? Port a barrel? Have you ever looked at the Knoxx folding stock for shotguns? As it is, it may not be a good configuration for the AK, but that recoil reducing cam of theirs really works. I have had a saiga 410 for 6 years now and just bought a 16" .308. Great guns as is, but I flet the urge to plant these seeds in your creative mind. What I see is a saiga 12 with a tricked out barrel, knoxx folding stock and a 5" Remington Choke tube for sabot slugs. Then the fun only gets bigger from there. This would be a fairly manageable poor mans .50 cal Just thinking out loud Edited August 28, 2006 by Zoub
DevL 0
Why cant you get the Galil style handle without the HK sights?
TonyRumore 1,332
I'm not set up to install internal chokes. There is not enough wall thickness to thread the outside and install Rem Chokes. You can get the Galil handle without the HK sights, but the handle will be partially blocked by the vent rib or the OEM rear sight. I can dog leg it back for clearence, but the cost is going to be well over $100 for that. Tony

Bvamp 604
tony's sense of humor is kinda like my local dealer's....he puts "as seen on TV" on his AK drum mags on the shelf...
G O B 3,516
Brownells offers the "gunners choice" line of internal chokes that are extended , with the part past the barrel threaded externally for breaks or flashhiders. If you want a choke AND a break/flashhider, that might be the way to go.
