OpFlash 0 Posted February 12, 2007 Report Share Posted February 12, 2007 My Saiga .308 is rather new but I have had the gas tube off a couple of times already for cleaning. Its always been very tight and to be honest the last time I put it back on it didn't look like there was enough clearance for it to fit and I was surprised when it finally snapped into place. Now I can't get the frikken thing off. I've of course got the release lever up and that is not holding it, there is something else on that end that is holding it down. When I try and pry it up it will move a little like whatever is holding it is flexing a little, but its held fast. I've tried whacking it with a plastic mallet, and even using a screwdriver and the mallet but I can't knock it loose and I don't want to break anything. I think this thing was cut too long at the factory, but somehow I got it off before. Has this ever happened to anyone else? Any suggestions? Quote Link to post Share on other sites
