tried search, cant find 8 rd mags for saiga

Recommended Posts

Since my recoil pad just arrived and my FCG and pistol grip are on the way, this clearly opens the way for larger mags. Any idea where I can actually get some 8 rounders?

I am getting a little frustrated. I searched most of the web and this forum for mags and the only thing I found was that site in the UK that sells them but they are very touch and go about selling them to US residents. Also, they recently jacked up their prices to like 60 bucks each which I feel is about double what it should be.

sucks

Dude, Where are you finding for $60 us each?

BTW, looks like the seller on eBay lowered his price to $90 for a starting bid.

I am leery of paying by Western Union Moneygram to Russia however. I've run into a couple of digital camera scams originating in that region.

BTW, what's the story with import law? Are we allowed to import for a personal purchase, or do we need a form 6 like dealers do?

Isn't the form 6 just for guns and ammo?

that site in the UK that sells them

Here's a question... why the @#$%* can they have 8-round Saiga mags in "gun-ban UK" and we don't have them in the US? Can Her Majesty's subjects actually own magazine-fed semiautomatic shotguns??

They can own deactivated guns (welded like a DEWAT I assume) and posesses inactive ammo (oil instead of gunpowder). Of course, since none of her majesties subjects posess ammunition or weapons, there is no restriction on magazines.

Lol black market.

London muggers are pretty well armed. Apparently an individual recently had a fight with like a dozen bobbies who unsuccessfully tried to tazer him. He was armed with 2 handguns and some grenades. Even in the US muggers dont tend to have nades. I wouldnt mind some myself if they are that easy to get, tho I imagine that most rangermasters would get pissed if you start throwing grenades at paper targets like 30 yards downrange. Hehehe.

Actually if they wont ship to the US, I can just pick them up in person when I visit my grandmother next month. Hahahahahahahahahahaahhahahahaha. Teh win.

I am attempting to contact Izhmash to see where they can and cannot send magazines. If they have some sort of sole-distributorship deal with EAA in the US, I can get them sent through contacts in the UK or the Ukraine.

If the price is reasonable, I might buy a ton and set up a website reselling them.

When you order, I would ask each user to specify the modifications they have done to their firearm to prevent people from buying the magazines that arent under parts limit.

Capitalism at work. Yay capitalism.

Hi all

Yes we English can own guns , i live in England and have a semi-auto saiga 12c with 8 round mags , i have a saiga ak 103 with 30 round mags too. we are not totally dissarmed like some of you guys may think. that story about the mugger with 2 handguns and nades is a load of b******t lol

it seems you guys in the states get wrong information about England just the same as we do about the U.S from our media. we recently had a programe on tv about guns in the U.S and they portrayed you guys as a gang of unstable would be machine gun killers................stupid huh!

thats the power of the media in the wrong hands i guess and it seems they are doing the same about us brits

lol

all the best

I guess I was seriously miseld then...

Becasue I was under the impression- after subscribing to target Sports UK for 2 years, that such things were illegal.

My point was that unless he converted it to bolt action or something, he couldnt own that Ak, and unless he somehow got saiga to make a model with an extra long barrel, there is no way the saiga is legal either.

Im not so much calling him a liar as eager to find out how he has managed to own guns which are forbidden to civilians in the UK.

You can technically get these arms, but you need a signoff from some secretary of the interior or something. It struck me as being kind of like getting a concealed carry permit in LA. Sure, if youre stephen speilberg, no problem, but not for the average guy on the street.

OK, I skimmed over the topic and it appears you guys think Assassin is either full of crap or has illegal weapons. Let me fill you in....

They can have basically whatever shotgun they want over there, as long as the barrel is a certain length. They make their barrels longer by welding on a long brake to a Saiga-12, SPAS-12, whatever. Assassin's AK is nice, has good furniture and everything, but he posted the photos sometime back when I asked him about it, the gas tube that leads up from the barrel to the gas piston is like SOLID STEEL, he has to cycle the bolt by hand for every shot.

Really you guys, maybe you should let him respond before you start any rumors. ;)

ha! my opinion??? we should attack the people who want to outlaw ALL shotguns, ALL magazines, and want to portray ALL of us as mg totin' yahoos, NOT EACH OTHER...sometimes all this amateur perry mason bullshit gets annoying.

by the way, this guy has 8rd mags for $35/ea. the thing is he's got them in his leo/ffl sales only section (but he hasn't updated his site since the end of the awb). maybe now he'll sell them to us?

EDIT: disregard. no more in stock and doesn't think he'll ever be able to get them again... :cryss:

I wasnt angry at assassin, but he is pretending like they can own real guns in the UK without crippling them. If he owns "an AK with the gas system disabled" then he should have said as much to avoid confusion. I apologize for not being well informed as to how the british "gun enthusiast" scene works.

I think that calling a non-automatic AK an AK is a stretch of the truth. Calling an AK with a welded gas cylinder an AK just seems wrong to me. Of course this isnt assassins fault since he would obviously rather have a select-fire gun if the law permitted him to.

I am just as annoyed that only cops can order select fire weapons here and you need special permission to have a < 18 inch shotgun barrel. There is really no need for more than 12 inches for indoors self defense shooting.

I wouldnt mind one of those Ak103s. Even with the transfer tax I would gladly pay 900 bucks for a select fire one.
