edelweiss 0
OK, so Im one of the few that doesnt want to do the pistol grip conversion on my 16inch rifle. Except for wanting a wood stock which Im talking to Battlerifle G3 about, I like it just the way it is for "Zombies". In fact I kinda like the 8 rnd mags too, but then I humped a M21 and then a M24 for too long to really like pistol grips. I kinda envision this as a poor mans SOCOM or perhaps a better description might be a G43. So now Im looking for ideas on mag pouches. I was disapointed that my repro G43 pouches are just a bit to short for the Saiga 8rounders. Ive been looking for SVD pouches to try before I buy but havent found any locally. Sure lots of other pouches are available that will fit the big mags, but I was look for something to carry a couple or more 8 rounders. Any suggestions???
BobAsh 582
The Vest Guy makes anything you want. He's got a forum in the vendor's section.
ClickClickD'oh 1
My FBMG 20 rounders fit fine it the STANAG pouches in my vest. The 8s will sink a bit further into them which might be a problem for you, but you could always stick a foam block in the pouch. Functional is better than purdy. edelweiss 0
Im gonna check my old M14 pouches to see if theyll pull service again. Im also looking for a SAW pouch to try out. If I get really motivated I may have to stop at Tandy Leather to try my hand at a larger G43 design. Any idea if theyll fit in the G3 or FN FAL single mag pouches? Saigaczech 9
Might look at Cheaper Then Dirt, their three mag AR-15 pouches fit two FBMG mags so they might fit three or four standard 8 rounders. Cost is around $7 per pouch, quite affordable.
Eugene Onegin 6
Check with GunBroker there is a vender that's selling Romanian PSL pouches ,their not new but they are serviceable . Edited January 27, 2008 by Eugene Onegin
coondawg47 0
I use canvas M-14 pouches. They work great.
herr67 0
I use canvas M-14 pouches. They work great. How far down do the mags sink? I'm looking for something that mimics how a 30 round mags sits in a 30 round pouch (but for the 8 round mag of course)
uglyrussian308 0
I did the same thing that Saigaczech did. The old 30 round M16 pouches work great. Cut the dividers and put two FBMG mags in side by side. Works great and its cheap.
herr67 0
I just found these: http://triadtactical.com/?mainURL=%2Fstore...egory_id%3Da01f I think they look exactly like what I'm looking for.
wally 2
take a mag with you and hit some army navy stores or gunshows
uglyrussian308 0
I picked up two more old M16 30 round mag pouches today for 3.50 each at a local army surplus store. These things are well used but the price is hard to beat. They work great with two FBMGs once you make a couple of adjustments.
zakmatthews 14
I found the absolute perfect 8rd magazine pouches at my local army surplus. They are dutch made camo with belt loops. I found them available on this website: http://www.globalarmysurplus.com/produits_...&cat_main=
wally 2
I would say you could put 4 S308 mags in a S.A.W pouch since 6 AR 15 mags fit in them

I have a little side business selling tactical gear at Fun Shows and I have found Condor Outdoors M14 bungie style mag pouched perfect for 8 round Saiga mags. The are shorter than full size "shingle" style pouches and also work quite well for AK x39 mags.
