I/O STG-2000

Has anyone found the the furniture that is used on the STG 2000? Can you buy it in the states? I like it a lot! It kinda has an HK look about it.

 

Or has anyone had experience with one and how do they compare with a Saiga?

 

I can get a Saig 762 for around 279.00 and then have 100.00 in the conversion. I can buy the STG for 389.00, ten bucks more but I want to know how she shoots.

The general consensus is that it's a dressed up WASR. Go for the Saiga!! (What else were you expecting to hear on a Saiga forum? ?)

A couple of years ago, I/O couldn't give that furniture away. I guess they hatched a plan with Ratmil/Cugir Arsenals in Romania to get some WASRs and use all that furniture on 'em.

 

The StG rifles from I/O are nothing more than WASRs produced for I/O instead of Century. One of the models uses mag parts for compliance.

From other forums Ive seen people say the hand guards arent mounted in any standard fashion, which looks pretty obvious. From every place that sells em says the stock and pistol grip are US parts. From the "just enough US parts to import" everyone is quoting I'd guess the hand guards are too. Man those are ugly. You sure you want em? j/k

I can't recall his handle but a guy here from Atlanta bought one last year and was so turned off by quality and fit of the furniture he took it back. Do a search.
