jhereg 0
I have nothing but respect for Saint Browning, and I love to shoot a 1911, but for carry guns I'm a heretic! My normal carry gun is one of these My nightstand gun, and occasional carry gun is one of these.

jhereg 0
OUTLANDER!!!! Oh, and my go to rifle is this I told you I was a heretic! My problem is that for a practical gun I don't care how it looks. I want it to be reliable, low maintenance, and accurate in that order. My glocks and ARs have worked well, but I'm enjoying playing with the AKs. An AK will probably move up on my list of practical guns. I doubt my 1911s will be more than range guns. They are too heavy & too low capacity for me to carry at this point. DaGroaner 2
I have a sweet shooting little Llama .22 mini-1911, a Rossi model 62, a Browning ATD and a Winchester Model 12 and I've owned several other Browning designs like Auto-5, numerous 1911s including a Grizzly .45 win mag, but when it comes to self-defense I'm a Glock man - G27 and G20. I would recommend everyone read his biography that Browning publishes. It's a truly fascinating read.
buckandaquarterquarterstaff 5
Yet in a time of great strife, a notice was nailed to the Tabernacle door. A pistol had begun a twenty year trip to hell and back, yet was still completely reliable, having been made of quaility tool steel. Thus the son would ascend to the right hand of the throne... the father, the sig, and the holy hi power...
Saigaczech 9
And then came the next prophets, the Brothers Koucy, and they said the 1911 is fine but has low capacity, so they created the CZ-75 with 15 rounds of 9x19mm goodness and lo, it was good. Saint Copper himself said it was," the only gun fit to be in the same room as a 1911" and his only misgiving was that it was not a .45 ACP caliber. And lo, the 1911 and the CZ-75 are the most copied handguns in the world and that is good.
