Wotan1105 7
Yeah, God forbid we actually go after all the oil-rich shale. A lot of which is in areas that could use the jobs. West Virginia, Western Pennsylvania, it's all over the Country really. But it's the same reason why we don't build new refineries, or new nuclear power plants. A bird might actually breathe in a puff of CO2 belched out from an engine. Or a mountain goat might have to walk an extra mile to get around the construction site. We can't be building stupid unnecessary things like oil well drills or power plants. The mountains of red tape alone make it too much of a hassle for anyone to do it. It's pathetic really, how many years now have they been saying to drill here, build a new nuclear power plant, etc.. The defense is always "well you build it you can't use it for 10 years". And these bastards have been saying that for at least ten years now. We could of had this crap built and developed long ago but nooooooooo that'd be politically incorrect. G O B 3,516
I was told that we cap 25 wells for every one we put a pump on. Its a great deal for the USA, we burn everyone elses oil and when it is gone we sell ours for $$$$$$$$$$$$.

Obama is NEVER going to let that oil out of the ground. He needs gas to get over $5/gallon so that we're FORCED to buy his dinky little POS Obamobiles and Pelosi-mobiles that he's going to re-tool Dee-troit to make. If he lets that oil hit the market, nobody will buy them. If gas hits $5/gallon, he'll look like a hero and a sage. He'd rather have you buy his POS cars, support his unions, and call him a hero than let you drive what you want and pay $1.50 for a gallon of gas. I'm NOT kidding. G O B 3,516
Obamma is a 4 or 8 year diversion. He has no more magical powers to change the world than George did. When dealing with 20 to 50 year cycles, 1 President has no more control of what will be than what the American people will allow - or remember.

Well, I agree in that the oil will still be there when we finally decide to pull our collective heads out of our asses and decide to go get it.

Here in Texas we have the worlds largest natural gas deposits and Oklahoma, immense coal reserves. We really don't need squat from anywhere. Bounce you are soooooooo right, jungle boy and the enviro. assholes won't allow it. Of course this could provide ALL the jobs this country needs to get back on top but it will be hard physical labor and today, most americans are LAZY so the meskins will do it. And GOB, this is a new ball game. Barry and nazi pelosi plan on being around alot longer than 8 years. He will pull a Hugo Chavez or f***up things so bad that we will have marshall law. I really think that is their goal. Edited April 2, 2009 by U.S Praetorian
