You got a damn good buy! They are made by the same folks that made the Nazi submachine guns (MP38 & 40)! They also imported .22LR (and some centerfire blowback chambered) "Lugars" -a full sized & a mini. The U.S Carbine/Erma rifle I had was reliable and shot well -I used it as a scoped .22. These are no longer imported. they "book' well...and the mags are near imposssible to get under $40-$65 used...there was 10 round and a 15 round mag (possibly the heaviest .22LR mags ever made). This gun was also made in .22mag -and, had a working gas system! Replacement parts will be about nil. I suspect that your gun needs a good cleaning (DON'T TAKE IT APART!!!). Just flush it out wit hsome brake cleaner & lightly lube -should get it cookin'. Have fun. Lollygagger
lollygagger 1
Mine, well used to be... That's the 15 round mag. another pic... Jus' a memory now. Lollygagger
IndyArms 10,186
Just out of curiosity... why wouldnt you take it apart? collector value will drop if you do? or is there some little things in there that like to go "SPROING" when the tension is released??? as I said... MERELY CURIOUS....
Grau_Tek 0
just wanted to add that i did take it apart and yes it did have some minor sproing factors but nothing too complicated i do now know for a fact that the firing pin tip is busted off and nowhere to be found i still have the option of giving it back and getting a refund i would however trade it for stuff if someone was interested saiga 12 stuff ak 7.62/5.45 stuff lemme know i know this isnt the sale forum just thought id throw that out
lollygagger 1
Just out of curiosity... why wouldnt you take it apart? collector value will drop if you do? or is there some little things in there that like to go "SPROING" when the tension is released??? as I said... MERELY CURIOUS.... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> There are some oddities with the action (it sort of has a outter shell -and, is pretty soft zinc alloy). But, more over, MOST failure for a .22LR semiauto to function or function well is due to the EXTREME amount of RESIDUE that collects, the nature of the blow-back action...this is what needs to be removed. It flushes out BEST. Dinkering with the action does little to improve this, and sometimes makes things worse -leading to the famous gun (pieces) in a basket situation. in the past, I've seen 80-90% of semi .22lr rifles, that were brought to me not working, function after flushing. lollygagger 1
A firing pin is usually among the easiest thing to work out for a .22LR. A smith or experienced gun dinker ought to be able to do this. Lollygagger
Grau_Tek 0
no i mean the tip is Broken Off like there is barely a nub left where the pin assembly fits thru the hole in the bolt other that that i dont know whats wrong with it im pretty sure its put back together correctly but it obviously wont work with a detached firing pin
lollygagger 1
no i mean the tipis Broken Off like there is barely a nub left where the pin assembly fits thru the hole in the bolt other that that i dont know whats wrong with it im pretty sure its put back together correctly but it obviously wont work with a detached firing pin <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Broken "tip' =broken firing pin. Grau_Tek 0
like i said.... the "tip" of the firing pin is snapped gone kaput never to be seen again there is no way someone could "work it out" other than maybe drilling and setting a piece of steel dowel to take the place of the broken pin or just buying a new pin seriously the firing pin is totally non-serviceable need a new one i think im going to give it back to the dude and tell him im going to wally world to buy a 10/

doug 0
Hello I need some parts for an em-1 anyone with em1 parts or whole gun please reply
uzitiger 193
I saw this rifle at a gun show for $350 which is outrageous. You got a nice deal for $50. For you it's a low cost plinking companion to the M1 Carbine, or Mini-14. If you need parts, try Numrich or Sarco.
G O B 3,516
Numerich (E-gun parts) is the man! Just got a New carcano firing pin from them. If you fit a new firing pin, check the firing pin protusion- I had to file off .025 from the new Carcane pin. G O B

SuAside 2
in europe these Erma rifles have a pretty bad rep on durability, so take it easy with those. a lot of people like the esthetics though.
