Gibbles 23
I was just looking at having my barrel cut down and a Poly Choke welded on the end... Would I still beable to run slugs? Thanks in advance!
hobbyshooter 59
Yes. The poly choke has a cylinder bore setting. They call it the "Slug" setting.

shades_of_grey 1,092
Yes. The poly choke has a cylinder bore setting. They call it the "Slug" setting. Actually the "Slug" setting is 1 setting tighter than cylinder bore. Cylinder bore is the "X-tra Full" setting backed off 1 full revolution from the position where this setting actually provides "X-tra Full" choke, (tightened almost all the way down). Anyway, yes the Polychoke II works well with slugs on either setting.
corbin 621
While I don't have a polychoke on mine, I seem to remember that a slug will work up to a modified choke setting. I'd not swear to that though. Corbin

Bvamp 604
hollow core rifled slugs are designed to work with any choke, but with removable chokes or "Settable" chokes like the poly choke, you should use improved cylinder or open, as as was stated, it is less traumatizing on the choke threads and such.....
