mav 459
Finally got 'er done Tapco G2, Choate stock, TWS dogleg rail, "ventilated" forearm. As usual for me, things didn't just go easy, the dremel quit halfway thru, had to take it apart and fix it, and the Choate stock required a LOT of fitting, I wont be recommending it to anyone. The forearm I put masking tape on, then used a speed square and pencil to mark of where I wanted the holes and the pattern, then used a regular hand drill, then cleaned up the edges with the dremel, then used a very course plastic scouring pad to dress the edges of the holes a little more. I will be dressing the holes in the forearm some more, but just wanted to be done for now. Edited November 10, 2009 by mav
Deussne 38
I like the dogleg rail. Im not sure if I personally would like all the holes in the handguard, but If you are happy with them then hey its what makes you happy. Rifle looks nice, and are you planning on moving the fsb? Deussne 38
Well its pretty easy, the hardest part for me was sourcing out the correct drill bit to ream out the FSB in order to move it 1 pin back. Check Dinzags site he has detailed instructions on it.
line308 2
Looks good to me, Mav. I like the stock, but bought the Tapco T6...hmmm, could put that on the .223....... I think I'm close to getting mine done. Gonna touch up with some paint and put him together. Really busy this week, maybe get it done this weekend. I'll wait for your experience with the FSB. janusthephoenix 24
I don't like the rail. Other than that, it looks great to me. I'm not sure exactly what you did to the stock, but it looks like it would handle tightly enough. The handguard looks better than I would have thought, too. Good job.

mav 459
nice rifle how does it shoot? Haven't shot since conversion, but before conversion it would shoot about 1 1/2-2 inch groups.
festivity 0
Hey what exactly did you have to do to the stock? I was thinking of getting it.
Zambidis 90
I like the Beryl rail concept. Is yours the Krebs or the TWS? Please let us know how it preforms. Can you have a good cheek weld and see through that optic? Maybe its just me or maybe its the pics but it looks as if the optic would sit too high
mav 459
Yeah, the rings are to high, I have some lower one ordered, also, I found a removable cheek piece on an old ATI mauser stock and put it on, it helped a lot, I will post more pics when I get the rings.
