psw757 1
Anyone know what the most reliable consistant cycling low recoil slugs and buckshot are? I'm considering the federal le, winchester ranger and possibly the fiocchi low recoil. s12 has 3 clean ports and a gun fixers plug and etac standard gas puck. thanks for the help, just trying to make the best guess before I order in bulk. nobody sell this stuff locally. Mullet Man 2,114
The RIO buck has low recoil IMO. Although i dont believe it is advertised that way. Its comparitively cheap at $109 for 250rds through most online vendors.
Wade Pruetz 103
I have never had good luck with low recoil ammo and I think the concensus on this forum is that it doesn't cycle reliably. I wouldn't order in bulk until you know it works in your gun.
Matthew Hopkins 1,065
I can tell you without a doubt that FIOCCHI does not even cycle the bolt. bought a box of it, and it turned my S12 into a pump shotgun Edited February 25, 2010 by Matthew Hopkins
RobRez 1,895
Not very satisfied with low recoil stuff. I don't know what the big deal is....I weigh 150 lbs. soakin' wet(sounds sexy, I know) and recoil has never been a problem for me. Just hold that shotgun as tight against your shoulder as you can and the shotgun just gives you a little push. Slugs or buckshot in a Saiga aren't too bad IMO. I think low recoil stuff is much better suited for a pump action.
beer_18837 14
shot some hornady tap low recoil today accually. dont buy it. it didnt even move the action on the saiga.

I also keep it around for self defense. It's high quality, offers great penetration at self defense distances, has low enough recoil to easily maintain the target area during rapid fire, and is relatively inexpensive in bulk. RobRez 1,895
Does it fit the MD20? The Rio , that is. Edited February 26, 2010 by RobRez
Mullet Man 2,114
The #4 21 pellet is a cunt hair to long. I'm not sure about the 00 9 pellet.
Lone Star Arms 2,047
Does it fit the MD20? The Rio , that is. Yes. It's a 2 3/4" shell so it works fine in the MD 20. With a little practice you can empty the MD 20 in less than four seconds manually operating the trigger. That's 180, 8.4mm projectiles in your target area at the rate of about 45 projectiles per second. Not as much juice behind them as a Dylan mini gun, but almost as much lead! RobRez 1,895
Sounds good, all this Wolf buck won't fit the drum. I may git sum! If I had a double stack mag, however....
