jimdigriz 580
Any paint that is dull and non-reflective? Both of the things I've tried have had too much sheen.
imarangemaster 315
The high temp has little or no sheen. It is no quite flat black, but almost.

devildogdakota 804
I just did two conversions a week ago, and used VHT with ceramic. It's used for painting exhaust headers. It can withstand temperatures up to 2000 degrees. I followed the instructions on the can, and after two light coats and one medium coat,(waited a day to completely dry,) then oven baked it at 250 degrees for a half hour, cooled for a half, baked again at 450 degrees, cooled for a half, and baked another half at 500 degrees. (was supposed to be at 600 degrees, but my oven doesn't go up that high!) I then waited almost a week, and lubed them all to hell. The finish came out beautiful, completely flat black, but took on a slight satin sheen after the oil'n. It's some tough stuff. I banged them around on the barrel where the handguards are going, and didn't even scratch them. My previous conversions were done with high heat rustoleum, but I like the VHT better. Paid under $6.00 for one can at Napa auto, which took care of two rifles. Edited December 9, 2010 by fffpatriot
