Saw this stand alone vise in Home Depot and figured it would be handy for all kinds of jobs, including conversions. I just used it to hold my x39 while I installed a Mojo Micro Click rear sight and a KNS front post. I was right. This setup allows more access to the work than a bench mounted vise and it is rubber padded, the rubber inserts may be removed for heavier jobs. This is by no means a heavy machine vise, but for what I do at home, it works great. Held my rifle rock solid while I was working on it.. Next I will use it to hold my Saigas while I cut the tangs and install Ace adapter blocks, and to convert my 2nd S-12, due in next week. Ace stocks were not in stock and were not readily available when I did my 1rst conversions.

Yes, please tell us the make model and price of this item. I think it would make a great fixture for boresighting rifles and other work besides it looks pretty portable. How much does it weight?

Yea, those things are handy. Keep an eye on the little rubber plug/cap that goes in the top of the middle leg. It can come loose and when you try to fold or unfold the leg, it will jam up and bend that leg some. It doesnt effect function, just a small PITA.

They're pretty handy overall tho, definitely a third hand.

I have quite a few of the Seville workbenches and rolling cabinets. I like them. Here are some pics of more of them in my reloading room. I've made some changes since, but the basic layout is the same.
