cdennig 0
Hey guys, I drilled my gas ports on a gun that I recently converted, only to find that the drilling left some metal "fuzz" around the holes on the inside of the barrel. How are people removing that fuzz after boring out gas ports or adding new gas ports? Is it even necessary to remove it? Will some light loads take care of it? Thanks for your time! tim2shu 48
Take a bore brush and run thru the barrel it should take care of it
cdennig 0
Tried the stock brush, didn't touch it. Will try a brass/bronze brush, thanks!
Cobra 76 two 2,677
I use a bronze 12 ga bore brush and run it back and forth under the ports, then attach it to a drill and do the whole inside of the barrel and chamber. It's heavy duty chrome lined so don't worry about scratching it.

tim2shu 48
I used a 9mm bronze brush so I could see down the barrel and see when I was on the ports and the brush is a little stiffer
