Drilled gas ports, now have metal "fuzz" sticking into barrel

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

I drilled my gas ports on a gun that I recently converted, only to find that the drilling left some metal "fuzz" around the holes on the inside of the barrel. How are people removing that fuzz after boring out gas ports or adding new gas ports? Is it even necessary to remove it? Will some light loads take care of it? Thanks for your time!

I use a bronze 12 ga bore brush and run it back and forth under the ports, then attach it to a drill and do the whole inside of the barrel and chamber. It's heavy duty chrome lined so don't worry about scratching it.
