Odd Man Out 1,283
This hero has done 8 tours in the sandboxes -- his last AFTER he suffered his wounds. He has re-upped for an open ended period. I sleep better knowing we have warriors such as these defending us -- HOOAH!!!

pony_express1973 183
This is the reason we are free and are still a power to be reckoned with. we have men like this fighting for every freedom we enjoy and they do it with total disreguard to the danger they face. Bvamp 604
The Sergeant is the most Honorable Soldier there is in the American Military. They are Career Men. Knowledgeable. Helpful. Caring. True Warriors and honest Human Beings. Mr Leroy Petry is the epitome of this, and is an example of you all. YOU ARE THE WARRIORS OF MEN< AND THE MEN OF WARRIORS. ..we could not do it without you doing your job. period. you all truely show us the HONOR, the GLORY, the HONESTY, the COMPASSION, and the RAW REALITY. The SACRIFICES. Sarge - any and all of you... - I thank you. You all are the meaning of the word "Sergeant". Whatever Rank. You get it done, in any military, with the most personal Honor and thanklessness that the world over owes you, in any military. you are heroes, all of you. this proves it, still. ...Sarge gets the job done. Sarge will fix it. Sarge will take care of you and will protect you. Sarge will figure it out.

DrThunder88 912
Sounds like he is truly deserving of the highest honor that our country can bestow. The fact that so few recipients are alive to receive their decorations should serve as enduring proof of the honor that the Medal conveys.
