ChileRelleno 7,071
http://www.buckeyefirearms.org/node/7866 No surprises here, shotgun wins, rifle is runner up and handguns are about equal - with most rounds in center of mass being key.

Joseph 141
what amazes me is that anyone could be hit with a shotgun to the torso and not be at least incapacitated if not killed

MT Predator 2,294
His data is incomplete. Really nothing in regards to type of load used or distances.

No but he does goes over this with most of the 9mm being FMJ and not hollow point. But I think we all know that hollow points will defiantly make you bleed a lot more. dashowdy 141
interesting article but the same old message shot placement is key, whether it be a shotgun, rifle, or handgun of any caliber. So pick your weapon whatever it is and practice your ass off . A weapon is only as effective as the operator.

Nothing on penetration or fragmentation data either. You really don't know what caused the deaths. Could be the caliber, could be the design of the round used. Nothing is magic though, shot placement is what kills.
