Been going back and forth about sending to Dave Bowie from TDI here in Ohio to have the slide milled for a Trijicon RMR but I just had it coated at Robar.

MCASgt New River 10,036
I use my Sig P226 for my USPSA competitions. They say train with what you use...well, I have that piece as my bedside weapon, as my ccw, car ride piece ect. I know she performs well, shoots accurately and has "never" jammed on me. Sig makes a damn nice pistol if I may say so myself. MCASSgt New River
going12220 125
in the past open class guns: had the Taurus copy of the Beretta with a comp'd barrel and trigger done so it was single action only, gun was a tack driver but had been abused before I got it. previous owner was shooting it as a 9mm major class back before they changed the rules for that. Slide cracked replaced but with out the set screws to support the barrel, frame cracked replaced but I didn't bother to switch the trigger over just sold the gun it had lost it's magic. got a Springfield factory comp 1911 single stack 45, tried a 1.5 scope with a B-Square mount, loved the gun hated the optics, still have the gun minus the optics. problem for me was it lacks capacity (170mm mag = 11+1). current open class gun is a 40 caliber (170mm mag = 23+1)Glock 24 on a CCF stainless race frame with a Trijicon dot. several trigger upgrades done and a 9mm conversion barrel (170mm mag = 27+1), set ups work great for USPSA and steel plates. past limited guns: were 1911s or Glock 17 or 22. still have a 1911 current one is a Kimber with a few trigger mods (single stack clas 8+1), Glock most used is a more or less stock 17L used for USPSA, steel, and Glock matches. (140mm mag = 22+1) For IDPA if and when I get around to it I have a Glock 19 that is more or less my "carry" gun. what I'm missing right now is a revolver used a S&W 14 for years went to a Ruger Security 6 with a lot of work sold both guns for more than I thought they were worth till I went to replace them. looking at the new S&W 7 and 8 rounders hard right now for USPSA, steel, and most of all NRA action pistol. will be cutting the herd soon to just a few guns cause I'm shooting a lot less and going to stuff with little or no movement / reloads on the go. most stand and shoot events don't require capacity so we'll see what the future brings. Thinking of long slide 1911. Edited September 25, 2011 by going12220

Racer 27 37
Started with a Beretta. Then bought a Glock 17. Put a little dot on it and practiced for hours and hours still couldn't find it under the clock so I'm back to irons.
Doug Hartley 526
I had a Caspian Open gun in .38 Super Comp and it worked very well, but a few months ago I had a custom STI Open gun built by John Larsen of JPL Precision. Shortened slide with holes in the side and a C-More red dot mounted sideways on a CCG mount and runs 9mm so I don't have to buy expensive brass any more. Doug
nobearsyet 3
Springfield Gi WW2 model, Bomar rear sight, Schueman barrel (the one with the rib on the top with the ports in it) with a front blade TIG'd on, Cylinder and Slide trigger parts, Wilson extended mag release, have a deal that goes under the grip to mount optics, usually an Aimpoint but don't remember the model right now. When I need a hi'cap gun I reach for a SIG 226 in 40 S&W, XS Big Dot sights, trigger job, and that's about it.
tnsongwriter 1
I carry a Springfield Armory TRP Operator .45. This is the most accurate pistol I have. Crazy good shooter.
topmaul 42
I just got an EAA Witness Match Elite with a Henning trigger, mag well, sites, and a bunch of other upgrades. It's a limited gun
farmrboy 0
Kind of slow to put up my two cents, but better late than never. I shoot single stack USPSA with a Taurus PT1911 ss w/rail. Only mod is a set of Truglo TFO sights. For multigun, I shoot a Tanfoglio Elite Limited. It's stock right now, but I do have plans for it. I am thinking about switching to limited class so I can use the Tanfoglio for all my matches because it's such a joy to shoot.
