KracknCorn 3
People with personal experience with the mako ak tube, SBT-K47, and the gl-shock stock, how do you guys like it? Does it work and is it worth it on a saiga 12?
Cobra 76 two 2,677
Yup, I like mine a lot. It's currently om my Saiga .223, the last one it is really needed on, but that's the only AK I have that's built "tactical" style, and doesn't have a folding stock. I may try it on one of my 12s next though.
dayofruin 425
I have the SBT-K47 on my S12 with a Magpul stock. I like it. It's well made and has held up so far.
The_Caged_Bird 474
I don't run one, I would run one on a pump-action, but my S-12 has about the same recoil pulse as my SKS so it's not really needed...
FOURBUX 22
I have an SBT-K47 on my S-12 with a Mako M4 style stock. It runs very nice, definitely a shoulder saver at the range. Edited May 2, 2012 by FOURBUX
erwos 12
Review here: http://forum.saiga-1...tube-and-stock/ Long story made short: both of them are excellent. I've continued to use those products on my S12, and they've held up quite nicely. If I were running any Saiga conversion and didn't want a folding stock setup, I'd use that tube. I have no reservations about it, and it's priced pretty decently for what it does. Edited May 2, 2012 by erwos
KracknCorn 3
Awesome, nice to hear good reviews. Odd you don't hear more about it if it works. Just ordered tube and stock.
Odd Man Out 1,283
I tried the set but went with a Magpul CTR and Enidine Buffer. I thought the plastic tube felt cheap and didn't think it would last on a 12.
netpackrat 566
I tried one and didn't like it. I think the spring is too soft for the S-12. Too much pogo stick effect.
dayofruin 425
They also make a solid version that's pretty nice. A buddy of mine had had one on his 12 for a couple years.
