amish_psycho 0
I have an M1 Carbine and want to put a synthetic folder on it. Any one know which is better, Buthole creek or Ramhind? Or is there some other I don't know about? Any opinions and/or past, present, or even future personal experiences wanted. Thanks, Amish out.

ironhead7544 35
The Choate stock is probably the best for the M1. Had a butler Creek in my Remington 760 carbine and it woked ok but had to modify the locking mech to get it to stay tight. Also had a repro of the original folder for the M1A1. Looks cool but doesnt lock and I didnt really like it. The carbine is a good self defense gun with the soft/hollow point ammo. Will work good for 150 yards or so. Tokageko 8
Check out the Owen Stock Company. They sell a collapsable 3 position stock for the M1 carbine. $79.95 It's something different to consider anyway. They advertise in Shotgun news.
bamaboy 0
I think I've got a Choate that's been painted camo, I'd take $50 for it, very sturdy, send me an e-mail and I'll send some pics if interested. I also have a pistol grip non folder, as well as another all plastic folder can't remember who made it, I'll have to check. LMK

The Choate is rigid as hell and deploys quickly and easily.
