richUK 90
Today my MK-03/AK-104 met its new partner....a Romanian AKM.It has been fitted with a Soviet muzzle brake and AKM furniture by the UK distributor and while the finish isnt quite as good as a Saiga boy does it shoot!.I thought I was in for a zeroing session but the iron sights are dead on despite the front sight being canted slightly to the left, but not enough to warrant being corrected. It appears to have a mil-spec receiver with dimples and the stamp marks for the 3rd axis pin and a rear sight that is marked out to 1000m.Heres a few pics, the one of the target has a pack of 20 cigarettes as a comparison and has had 70 rounds at it straight out of the box with no sight adjustment at 50m.....im very impressed with it to say the least! theorangeplanet 968
Just out of curiosity, what is required to make the rifles straight pull only? Are the gas blocks or gas ports welded up? Is the gas piston just removed?? Just wondering what it would take for you to go back to semi-auto in case of an alien invasion or what not. Kayback 0
The gas ports are closed, the gas tube is removed, there is no piston and IIRC the piston tube is filled as well. So, yes, but not easily. KBK
richUK 90
Spot-welded plug in the gas port and the head taken off the gas piston, gas tube is intact.
bikermutt07 10
I'm missing the point, I guess........ You have an SBR that isn't semi auto? Does this straight-pull bull mean a tax stamp isn't required? Sorry, I just haven't heard this one yet.
