lol, I'm sure you do.

It's likely best you don't read the post.... Or at least pretend not to have. happy.png

Ad hominem.

Since you seem so receptive to opposing viewpoints, I wont bother to correct your assumption about whom every single one voted for.

Facebook......never have never will...

In this day and age if you don't believe you are under constant surveillance then your damn fool. Hell most of us wont' leave the house without grabbing our personal tracker, ie cellphone. It's a GPS transponder and radio transmitter. If you think that you are the only one that control what and when it transmits then you just need to go back to sleep. Hell we voluntarily give up our shopping habits just to save a couple bucks!! Think about it...if you use one of those buyer discount cards they can tell if you are regular or not every month by how much TP you buy.

Every aspect of our daily lives is being track by someone...be it big business or big government. The line between them is getting blurrier by the day.

The public school system is shitty....but I think that's because most people rely on it to babysit their children and they don't question anything....For my child it is only part of education, my wife and I make up what the public education system lacks....It's our job as parents!!! We talk about what he did in school that day every night at the dinner table...that's right we all sit down at the same time, we say grace, eat dinner, and talk about what they learned that day. My boy hates it..LOL "I'm soo old school"...Little does he know I used to think the same thing about my old man when I was his age...My old man is no longer with us.....I wish I had the chance to tell him how right he was.

My wife has an account. After the election (and before) it was easy to pick out the "Obamanites".

We might use this to our advantage some day. She is a superviser and they can't hire anyone else at "full-time" thanks to the new health-care regs and the 30% increase in health-care costs this year.

Your political leanings make you a target in more ways than one.

You get what you deserve. There will be a back-lash.

Yeah, they sure werent quiet about it. The one commonality ive worked out is that all my Obama-supporting friends/family are renters with no savings, retirement plan, or stock holdings. All my landowning friends/family, who also have 401k's or roth IRAs, supported Romney. Even the ones on unemployment knew that the key was not a fatter social safety net, but more, better-paying jobs.

Personally, I limit it to family and use it as a way to share events, home projects, and pics with them, even the family who moved several states and hours away. My mom used to call people for 2 hours a day to do the same, I just cant do that with todays schedule. Plus, when (not if) my future employers look it up, they will see a wholesome, hardworking family man who is familiar with recent technology. Just the kind of guy they want to hire. Not having an acct is almost suspicious, like something a crazy gun-clinging prepper might do. wink.png

There is more truth to that onion report than anyone wants to admit to.

Big brother is watching. I had a friend make a sick joke about wanting to rob the bank. Bad idea, since she just quit a job at that bank. She had a cop come visit with her about it, drove her around and explained to her the implications of posting stupid lame-ass shit on Facebook. No one affiliated with the bank or law enforcement, was friends with her on Facebook.

So, local law enforcement has keyword lookup, and possibly even automated alerts that flag comments for peer-review, at their disposal. That's locally, not even mentioning what the big Federal boys can spider over time, data-mining one's identity, and having an automated system develop an in-depth psychological profile and automatic risk/threat assessments. Indeed, Big Brother is watching.

I have a Facebook account and use it regularly to post pro-2A articles and keep up with friends I otherwise wouldn't talk to.

The former has drawn negative attention to me in the past, but I am always careful not to say anything that "crosses the line" between offensive and illegal or suspicious.

I don't go out of my way to avoid offending the couple of more liberal "friends" on my list. This IS the internet, afterall...

If you took away all the offensive content and the porn, there'd be about two websites left- One of which would be, "Bring Back the Porn."

Through Facebook, I have taken several friends from, "I'm mildly interested in learning to shoot," to, "Jon just helped me buy my first gun and teach me to shoot! I have a lot to learn, but this is great!"

If this puts me on somebody's shit list, so be it. :smoke:
