kbahus 0
Does anyone have some good pics on what a properly modified bho lever looks like? I plan on using e-clips to hold in my pins but I think I still have to modify the bho, is this correct?

universal_exports 18
with e-clips maybe not, you could put them on after everything is installed as long as you can reach the area. however if you are using the aftermarket axis retaining plate that replaces the Shepards hook, then yes, you have to mod the BHO becuse you have to push the safety end through the hole in the aftermarket axis retaining plate. kbahus 0
Thanks for the pic, I can use either the shepard's hook that came with my Tromix fcg or e-clips that I also have. Definitely will not be using any aftermarket plates. Just looking for the easiest option really.

gunfun 3,931
I'm stealing your picture chile to put in with the trigger mods thread. It makes it really easy to see what is needed.

Big John! 2,062
The easiest option is a retaining plate, IMO. With the plate I can have my FCG out and back in in minutes. I just put my BHO in with one pin, marked it through the safety hole, the ground what needed to go away to get the safety in.
kbahus 0
Good call on installing it with one pin and marking it, I will go that route and use the pic to make sure it looks similar. Nice to see another northern Coloradoan here too!

kbahus 0
Great pic! Looks like you notched it to help keep that spring in place too?
evlblkwpnz 3,418
Great pic! Looks like you notched it to help keep that spring in place too? That was the first one I ever did. I don't bother with the notch now. I bend the spring 45 degrees toward the trigger and then 90 degrees down. Much easier to re-install that way and never comes off.... ever.
