Maxwelhse 1,285
lol! That knife isn't making my wallet open just yet.... Now... You guys think about recreating the Jurassic Park T-Rex vs. Ford Explorer scene in REAL TIME! I have the hardware to pull it off, and yes, it's incredibly cool! Not mine, but identical... I only have 1 and my old lady ain't that old! My 0.1 amp... (And yes... mine is bridged 4 Ohm @ 2440 watts) http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?partnumber=245-506 And of course, the iconic scene I referenced (except my water glasses have beer in them, and they don't shake all sissy like that... the clock on the wall 4' away jumps about 1.5" off of the wall) Edited March 30, 2013 by Maxwelhse

O.O I guess that's OK if you just want to watch a football game... 'monumental' LOL! You ain't seen nothing yet!!! That's just my 0.1 channel! I'm nuts deep in JBL pro and "good" hi-fi around here. That was my favorite movie and book as a kid btw lol If you get down this way I'll let you take the Pepsi challenge with mine vs. the theater (I even have my own 'real' popcorn machine)! I've done it both ways and I picked my winner! For that matter, I'll even drop the $2k for the new amp for my mains that I've been lusting over for a forum member.
Sdustin 578
I've got a Ontario shiv. While it's a knife it's a sweet knife. I've made a pocket sheath from kydex that has a hook on it I've tied some paracord to the knife the para hangs out of my pocket and when I pull it the hook on the sheath catches on the pocket and I get the knife in hand. What I'm trying to say is ontario makes good blades. I was going to ask about the tramontina. Here is 5 of those for a near 37.99! http://www.machetespecialists.com/trma5pa.html
Sdustin 578
heres my shiv its smaller than a machete but ill bet its sharper
LuPiN8oR 333
Nice monty reminds me of my CRKT boot knife. Ever check to see how balanced it is? Looks like it'd make a good thrower if one were so inclined...
Sdustin 578
it would throw pretty well but if i was down to using a knife the last thing id do is throw it to my attacker, but for fun yea but there's lots of other cheaper knives to throw. its 1095 and is thick as hell, they also make a model called the shank that's got a 6" blade, i call this one my tactical stake knife.

RobRez 1,895
I second the Zombie Tools! They are made just a couple of miles from where I am right now!! Great products and great Fellas as well! My Backwoods Machete has to be around 1/4" thick steel and is Full Tang. The nice heavy weight gives a real solid swing, great for getting firewood while camping. I had the ZT fellas make me an extra sheath for each of my Zombie Tools so I could mount them in my vehicles. Machete in the 4runner and my De'Capitain in the VW bus.

thebuns1 4,323
Whats your sharpening process for one of those? I couldn't imagine taling a bastard file to one of those beauties... I use a benchstone. I sharpen all my blades by hand. Some use paper wheels, its much quicker, but I like to take my time with my steel. I have a fucked up infatuation with it.
