What to watch out for when making your 8" SBS a 12"?

Recommended Posts

Hi, I have a ETac Saiga 8" SBS and after a few years, I find the barrel too short to use in shotgun matches.

I found and it looks like I can get a nice 12" barrel from them. Is there anything I need to watch out for when installing a new longer barrel? Gas Ports, Pistons, barrel?

Let me know if you also can recommend a good smith to do the job.

Thanks,

IIRC, Tom Cole (Cadiz Gun Works) made a thread-on barrel extension for S12 a while back. Maybe him or someone else could set you up with something similar?

Advantages would be cost, reversibility, and I don't think a temporary change would require you to update your ATF papers.
