beefcakeb99 572
I do seem to remember a discussion years ago about people that had this on some saiga rifles or maybe the shotguns.... Maybe someone will come along with that thread
Cobra 76 two 2,677
Yeah I have a couple of em actually. And a 410 also. They were imported by Kalashnikov USA in Port St Lucie FL before EAA took over importing Saigas. EAA was right before RAAC... The very early EAA imported guns had already been stamped Kalashnikov USA and had to be overstamped to hide that original stamp. These appear like a bunch of interlocking circles on the trunnion just under the ejection port. I have two of these as well. My 2000 model in my avatar with blonde wood is one like that. From these guns on, the import stamps are on the rear postion of the receiver on the side. The old guns used to have "Read Owner's Manual Before Use" stamped back there. Yeah hold on to that it's pretty rare. If you look on the other side it should say the year of MFG was pre 2000. You also have one that was made RIGHT.... As in back before the quality control went out the window. The ports were all drilled correctly back then and there should be four if it's a 19" model. Also the barrels were made differently back then in the way they were extruded. You can look closely at the outside of it under the HG, down around the chamber where it necks down and see this. 1998 K-USA S-12 22" fixed full choke with adjustable rib sight. Sorry for the crappy pics.... 1999 K-USA S-410 20" with extra full ported choke (threaded) and fixed non adjustable rib sight. 2000 K-USA overstamped EAA import IZ-109 Adj. Rib
cdsmonkey45 1
awesome guys thanks for the info. it was a 24" barrel.... i may have converted it already... it used to have the vent rib on top and 24" barrel. i must have gotten a lemon from that batch then as it only had 2 small ports. ive added a third and it runs like a champ now with everything. but yeah im not gonna give this one up. ever. Cobra 76 two 2,677
No lemon. It only had two ports because that's all a 24" barrel needs. My 22" guns have 3 ports. The 19's have 4. That said, I have not had the gas block off of a 24"er before or owned one so I'm only guessing that part. It is always possible you may have missed a third port hiding just up under the forward edge of the gas block inside, Sometimes they can be hard to see if tucked under there but still work because of the angle they are drilled. You might ask forum Moderator Nailbomb how many ports his 24 has.
cdsmonkey45 1
i removed the block and added the third hole mine and slightly opened the manifold into the block but like i said it runs like a champ now so im happy and its fairly unique in that it has Kalishnikov on the side and I love it
filthygovemploye 64
anyone got clearer pics my eyes are swimming! so it says : made in russia by kalashnikov?
gunfun 3,931
I've been wanting one of those cool Kalashnikov USA slings for a while. My IZ108, serial starts with 00, is EEA marked. There is one crossed out mark on the starboard side underneath the ejection port and front trunion. It reads as follows: 12x76 18,8 F (1,0) There are two lines struck through. Obiously that means that it mans 12 ga chambered for 76 mm shells. Then, I suppose 18.8" barrel? I have no clue what "F (1,0)" would have meant or why they bothered to strike it through. Does anyone know?
Cobra 76 two 2,677
F(1,0) means full choke It was probably struck through the same as my 19" IZ-109 pictured above was, when that receiver was mounted to a 19" gun.
Cobra 76 two 2,677
Some stamp pics.... Camo 22"er & Black K-USA 22"er.... F(1,0) fixed full choke barrels. Also the factory Izzy screw on chokes are stamped F(0,0) Open Cyl, F(0,5) Mod, and F(1,0) Full K-USA / EAA 2000 model IZ-109 Stamped F(1,0) and struck through as well. Used to know what the 18,3 was about years ago..... hmmm slips my mind for now. 12x76 is 12 ga & 76mm (3")
