Jsd2137 2
Ive seen all the videos on converting the saiga 12 but my only question is after drilling out the rivets upon reassembling what do you replace them with do you use a new rivet or ?
ryr8828 7
I used the hole plugs provided in the kit I bought from Carolina Shooters Supply.
Billybobf 50
But in light of the most recent "conversion" no drilling on the standard ak axis pins! Otherwise good luck! The plastic plugs look clean from what I've seen
KTM 72
I welded over the rivet holes. You cant tell they were ever there, much cleaner looking than the plastic plugs
pedal2alloy 206
I welded over the rivet holes. You cant tell they were ever there, much cleaner looking than the plastic plugs That's the way to do it
jdtravers 637
I used the hole plugs provided in the kit I bought from Carolina Shooters Supply. Those are not rivet holes, they are axis pin holes. For the basic conversion specials I do, I use #8-32 Oval Head Allen Screws backed with nuts on the inside to give it a industrial look. I weld up the higher end Saigas. Jack

Jack Well, ok, apparently I used some wrong terminology somehow so I'll try and rephrase: There were some holes and I put plastic plugs in those holes...
