JESS1344 508
GUYS, I KNOW THIS HAS BEEN POSTED HERE BEFORE, BUT AS I RECALL, IT'S BURIED IN A THREAD SOMEWHERE. I SCANNED THE FIRST 10 PAGES OF GENERAL DISCUSSION AND DIDN'T FIND ANYTHING ON THIS THAT WAS OBVIOUS, SO I'M GOING TO POST THIS UNDER THIS SUBJECT SPECIFIC TITLE. I'D APPRECIATE IT IF THE MODS WOULD SEE FIT TO LEAVE IT UP IN THE GENERAL DISCUSSION THREAD, SO THOSE WITH AN INTEREST MAY MORE EASILY REFERENCE IT. I'VE OBSERVED SEVERAL PEOPLE ASKING ABOUT THIS IN THE RECENT PAST. YOU CAN PUT YOUR CURSOR ON THE LETTER, AND A BAR WILL COME UP THAT ALLOWS YOU TO ZOOM THE IMAGE, SO THAT WHEN YOU PRINT IT OFF IT'S ACTUALLY LARGE ENOUGH TO READ. I WOULD ALSO ADVISE LAMINATING IT, AND THE ORIGINAL ATF COVER LETTER, THAT COMES WITH THE BRACE, FOR LONGEVITY, AND HAVING A COPY OF EACH TO GO WITH EACH PISTOL EQUIPPED WITH THE "WRIST BRACE" MECHANISM. HB of CJ 1,263
Every once in a while the Emperor's shock troops throw the poor peasants a bone. I suppose we should feel grateful or something. Right ... Statute ... Regulation ... Privilege ...Restriction ... Prohibition ... Arrest ... Conviction ... Imprisonment ... Death ... Enslavement ... Revolt. Pretty much it. Thank you for the BATFE "ruling". Since they make up the rules as they go along and we let them do so, I guess they can make up the rulings as they go along also. The whole thing is SO FAR from the 2nd admendment. Sorry ... do want to make this political. HB of CJ (old coot)
Sdustin 578
It's nice a department within the government that servers solely as a division controlled by the president can make rulings and they are law with no congress involved.

Big John! 2,062
The letter comes with every brace and are all over the net. Do you guys really think that an officer on a mission is going to pay one bit of attention to this letter you printed? I don't even carry the fuckin letter. Everyone is so fuckin scared of the gov't already that they are afraid to have a totally legal pistol. When mine is with me I happily drive with it right next to me, with a 30 round mag, and one in the hole ready to go. While I do appreciate the good intention behind this thread. Due to the fucked up search feature on this forum, this is the last place I would go looking for the letter as a quick bing search yielded me more than I'd ever want. David Mark 2,452
I've been thinking about getting on of these for my Draco. To the guys that have one: Is it worth it or should I just leave the Draco as is?
mancat 2,368
it's a legal paperless SBR, with the only downside of looking kind of stupid. you decide if that's worth it or not.
LuPiN8oR 333
This really should be pinned somewhere up here imo. Maybe in other ak rifles.
Big John! 2,062
This really should be pinned somewhere up here imo. Maybe in other ak rifles. For what? There's more of these letters on the net than you'll ever know what to do with. I've been thinking about getting on of these for my Draco. To the guys that have one: Is it worth it or should I just leave the Draco as is? Hell yes they are worth it. I'll never do another SBR as long as these are around. it's a legal paperless SBR, with the only downside of looking kind of stupid. you decide if that's worth it or not. If this isn't the perfect case of function over form, I don't know what is. Trust me, when you have it shouldered, you don't even see what it looks like

The idea of paying an extra $200.00 dollars and jumping through a bunch of arbitrary hoops for what is actually a right kinda rubs me the wrong way.

Big John! 2,062
I think I'mma cancel my form one and do the same to my M92. Fuck giving the gov't my money. it's a legal paperless SBR, with the only downside of looking kind of stupid. you decide if that's worth it or not. Believe me if I had my druthers I'd druthers put an ace side folder on it and call it done. You can still run an ace folder. You mount the folder with a buffer tube then put an SB15 on it. I have all the parts for this and it will work.

IF ONE WERE TO JUST SCREW AN ACE FOLDER TO THE REAR TRUNNION, WHICH I THINK IS WHAT YOU'RE SUGGESTING, WITH AN AR-TYPE BUFFER TUBE ATTACHED, THE ATF MIGHT RULE IT TO BE SUFFICIENTLY MODIFIED TO NOT BE COVERED UNDER THE WRIST BRACE EXCEPTION. JUS' SAYIN' JESS1344 YOU COULD PROBABLY TELL THEM YOU DON'T NEED THE M4 STOCK, AND GET OUT OF IT FOR NOT MUCH MORE THAN $100.
