JDeko 792
I'm just curious, when I was watching a certain show on the Discovery Channel [before the Damnatio Memoriae of it and its star] a lot of Selective Fire Saiga 12s were made for people from seemingly normal IZ109s. In fact [NAME REDACTED] soke about modifying the guts of one to make it capable of automatic fire. How was this legal?
haugpatr 972
He was an 07 FFL, no civilians took possession of those full auto S-12's, just other dealers or law enforcement/govt.
poolingmyignorance 2,191
Those are only legal for military and law enforcement. It's essentially the same as building a full auto ak. It's illegal to build one, but you can YouTube sa lot of videos that show the basic mechanics of a full auto ak.
Cobra 76 two 2,677
I'll never forget shooting the first American select fire S-12 back in 2004-5. Tom Cole's custom made AMD-65 S-12 conversion The Beast. That thing is badass.
JDeko 792
yeah, i guess i do remember a lot of the customers of Red Jacket being ex-military or police. Kinda sucks I can never have a select fire Saiga 12, but then again trying to control one would be silly.
poolingmyignorance 2,191
With some trigger work and practice, you can still get a few hundred rounds a minute.Or waste 300 on an ugly as bump fire stock
JDeko 792
yeah, i feel like i'd be pretty embarrassed trying to learn how to use a bump-fire stock
nukeme70 7
With some trigger work and practice, you can still get a few hundred rounds a minute.Or waste 300 on an ugly as bump fire stock I never bought the slide fire/bumpski stock, but this video is the entire reason I bought my S-12. The smile on his face after dumping that drum just screams "buy this gun!" So I did, and every time I do a mag or drum dump, I get that same smile. . http://youtu.be/j_W1pLT7xSA

JDeko 792
due to aesthetics and cost i won't be buying a slidefire stock anytime soon.

Carsner86 18
I cut the rear tang off so I'm not sure if one would work on mine
JDeko 792
what about a standard wood stock? could you convert that into a slide-fire?
JoeAK 337
There's the video that made me want a Saiga-12 the most, you can go plenty fast without a slide fire.
