Rhodes1968 1,638
so many conflicting stories Working as intended. Nuke or not? Well not all nukes are created equal there is some fairly advanced stuff out there with a very different and reduced radiation signature than what we may call conventional nukes. That said would they use one there? No need really when conventional works just fine. Either way doesnt matter to the poor sobs it hit or the results.

storm6490 2,768
Poor Germany and France were unable to suck another poor country into their communist virus. Peace for now. MINSK, Belarus (AP) — Guns would fall silent, heavy weapons would pull back from the front and Ukraine would trade broad autonomy for the east to get back control of its Russian border by the end of 2015 under a peace deal hammered out Thursday in all-night negotiations between Russia, Ukraine, France and Germany. SgtRaven 531
Another one... Large tango's weapons depot blew up last night upon unloading. Not a nuke, though. HB of CJ 1,263
I do NOT see how. Popping even a dinky nuke would instantly become a POLITICAL event, as well as strategic and tactical. Too many geo stationary satellites from too many nations. Instant signature. Any electronical camera close enough to see the thing would be fried by the local intense EMP. Too many governments would know immediately. Too many news agencies are hooked into local governments. They would know also. It would be impossible to clamp the lid down on this. No way. If nothing else HAMS a thousand miles away would sense and feel the effects in their radio gear. Too many radiological sensing gadgets in the world. Even a pocket surface burst nuke would dump enough shit into the air locally that even us could record the effects months later. A million folks with their own equipment like me would and could detect a slight increase in shit in the air and ground. Any human observer close enough to feel the blast wave would be burned/blinded by the gamma and heat pulse. They say a nuke is a very distinctive event. Whole level higher than a conventional blast. Cover this up? No way. Could not happen. It would be world news for weeks and weeks. Just me. HB
mancat 2,368
Yeah, even DU shells will pop a Geiger counter. It would be too politically valuable to pass by. There are no nukes being used.
