DLT 1,646
On one of my two sbr pap's, I've got a pretty bad canted gas block that pretty much kills any chance of getting it to zero. Have any of you guys performed any surgery on these specific pistols? I'm ready to whack the sucker, but fear that the port on the barrel won't align with the block if I correct all the way to center.
DLT 1,646
Wow....nothing. Not even crickets. Here's a chance to talk about guns instead of politics and nothing. What has become of us?

LuPiN8oR 333
...are you sure its the front sight block? I ask this specifically because mine actually had the rear sight canted on the dust cover and it was pretty easy to smack it with a hammer until it got straight enough. DLT 1,646
Actually, both are as crooked as Hill......sigh...... Both are malaligned.
Long Shot 1,287
Wouldn't the basic AK rules apply? Pins out, true it up, make sure gas port is open, re-drill and pin.
Spacehog 2,218
Sorry DLT, I have one PAP SBR and the sights are fairly straight so the lack of response may be because many don't have the experience to answer the question. You say both the front and rear are off. Is it possible you can split the difference between the two to get to zero? The only other option I would suggest is drill the cover for a picatinny rail or aim point mount and call it good. This is what I did, not because I had issues with the sight, but wanted a red dot on the cover. I have had no issues with return to zero. Maybe this might work for you as well? Sim_Player 1,939
Have you tried swapping covers between the guns?
DLT 1,646
I've fixed crooked covers before. The problem is I simply can't adjust the cover on this one. To do so would actually increase the required amount of front post adjustment.
