  1. hey darth i have one of these and pistol grip screw is not budging. am i missing something here or do i need to let the liquid wrench work some more? also did you just drill and tap the rear trunnion for the stock? thanks in advance
  2. If you are a big tall guy like I am.I recommend a vltor e-mod adjustable stock. The tapco stock seems flimsy and didn't suit me well for my height. The vltor is not a budget stock by any means but I feel its a case of you get what you pay for when it comes to stocks

  4. i guess i'll throw my two cents in i feel your concerns about having a safe product. i've had some weapons not function properly fresh out of the box. i really couldn't tell you if my .308 out the box cycled properly. mine got the pistol grip conversion as soon as it came out of the box and works flawlessly. maybe you should take it back to your dealer possibly they can offer you an exchange, your money back or send it off for some warranty work. if you plan on doing a pistol grip conversion as most do on this site i'd keep the rifle. most of the parts that you seem to be ha
  5. just wondering how many rounds have you put through your rifle? do you thing it may just need a little break in period?
  6. that is an awesome video i'll have to show that one to my friend who is a die hard AR rifle nut. maybe this video will at least convince him to at least consider an AK i have never been in the military but i have several friends that are/were. they all seem to say the same thing "lowest bidder gets the contracts"
  7. i have the cx4 in .45 acp. no the CX4 does not use the PX4 mags it uses the Beretta 8045 "cougar" mags. the factory mags for the CX4 in .45 acp are 8 rounds and last time i checked promag made a 9 round mag that doesn't work all that well. (all kinds of feeding issues) i returned them to midwayusa no questions asked and just bought some mags for the 8045 and now my cx4 functions flawlessly. looks like we're all stuck with 8 rounds for a CX4 in .45 acp
  8. umm pull the handle back put the round in the chamber let the handle ride home i don't see why it wouldn't be safe what exactly are you trying to do??
  9. forum member dinzag offers a ak handguard adapter that will let you use AK hand guards. as you know some of the aftermarket ak hand guards have rails on them. hope that helps
  10. why the hell would i own an AR-15? when shit hits the fan i want something that is going to fucking work!!!
  11. wouldn't ya know it i don't have $299. story of my life!!!
  12. 2) The darned disconnector spring. Freeing it from the original trigger-disconnector assembly was problematic as I did not have the right size punch for the pin that held it in place, ended up using an undersize punch against the edges and working it out that way. Got spring free. Tried assembly of the Tapco trigger-disconnector assembly, no go. It seems that the diameter of the disconnector spring was greater then the corresponding hole in the Tapco disconnector. Out with the Coblat drill and I expanded the hole diameter to 5/32 so the spring would fit, except that the hole in the Tapco pa
