Anybody go to Airshows???
dnp replied to Bean.223's topic in General Discussion - Any topic is welcome here!!!
In about May 1962, the others and I who were working afternoon shift (USAF) at the Base Flight (T-33, Gooney and a Convair) Section at Carswell AFB, were all in the van watching a B-58 starting its take-off roll. It was about 9pm and the AB exhaust was very vivid and the roar was as always astounding. About 1/2 way down the runway, the aircraft suddenly turned into a comet, bounding and ripping down the remaining length. The entire last half of the runway was a huge, tall orange hellish wall of fire. The remains lay at the end of the RW banging and exploding in bursts of flame and sparks -
Last year when the mexicans all marched in celebration of illegal aliens they all had several waterbottles. For drinking on their Long March? No. They had frozen them at home as well as at the catholic church from which they set out. Voila! Instant rocks to throw at American counter protestors along the way, which they did. Meanwhile mexicans had laid back and watched where Americans parked their cars while they counter protested, and then slipped tire puncturing devices under the car tires. The invader La Raza are NOT here looking for a better life. They are here to "reconquestida" and sl

Yeah I have one of those on my S-12. Didn't want to take a chance breaking a small diameter drill or tap off in the gas block so took it to S-12 dealer. Is now having tritium 3 dots installed fore and aft. Has to have dove tail slots cut so it's back at shop. Bought it from MAA.

Ain't that the truth. Our full prisons and death rows certify to your truth, bvamp! Tonight as I type, one of "them" is being put to DEF here unless the commies at SCOTUS intervenes.(God Bless Texas!) How many of the enemy have you all out there been able to harvest in the execution chamber? -

It all comes from the '60's Vietnam war protester doper addicts who have made it perfectly ok to use illegal drugs. Their statement is and remains SEX DRUGS and ROCK and ROLL. -

Thot so. Thanks, Tony. If SBS w/your silencer ever makes its way to mkt would want to take it to local range.

Wow. No, not exactly. The are NFA iems and are controlled in much the same way as machine guns. You can own one in Texas, but there are some legal hoops to jump through. Right. "After" doing the legal loop jumping they are a perfectly legal firearm accessory. I wonder if one has to have some sort of paperwork with him at the public range or elsewhere with a class 3 device...suppressor, SBS etc? Anyone know about that?

Good to see that. I have Dave do my gunsmithing in addition to having bought the S-12 conversion from him. Weren't any noteworthy problems.
-
Thank you, responders. Will contact@ email address supplied. Wanting to have local gunsmith alter to Galil style charging lever but with a ball instead of knurled style knob without having S-12 OTS 'til task completed. Will then have two carriers, of course.

How would one contact "Tantal"? Looking for a S-12 bolt carrier. Thanks, any info appreciated.

Walmart goes anti-gun
dnp replied to FBMG Smithy's topic in General Discussion - Any topic is welcome here!!!
Is that true? Target is owned by dick sucking surrender froggies? Hmmfph. Had no idea. Sheeiat. Maybe Tom Thumb or Skaggs or Sears or Safeway then. Anyway, Target does not check my ID for beer purchases or door nazis want to see my receipt, as does shitmart As far as ammo, the local gunshop has or gets what is wanted. -

A couple years ago the local shitmart nearby wanted to scan my drivers license into their computer everytime I bought beer, to confirm my age they said. (I'm 65, and obviously so) None of the information encoded on my license is any of shitmarts business...there's all sorts of info there...such as whether or not or not a person is CCL and who knows what all else? Its a cops business to know but not some bottom feeders at shitmart global hq. I switched to the nearby Target and other stores for all my purchases I'd been buying at shitmart. None of them want to scan my -
Having come up in the '50s was wondering if anyone else remembers a firework piece called (in rural OK, at least) the device called the opposite of whitey chaser? They whistled as they darted around like crazy. They don't have them anymore, looks like.

Shot through a paradox choke
dnp posted a topic in General Discussion - Any topic is welcome here!!!
A question about firing shot through a paradox choke......The shot takes up a donut pattern, I've read. If a flash suppressor was on the end of the choke, or even maybe a short piece of tube, would'nt that tend to "straighten out" the shot back into more or less an even pattern? Hope that someone with many rounds down range might opine? Thank you -
I held mine against the rail butted back against the hinge then marked how much of the lower groove on the mount to trim off...about 1 inch. Thats the forward end of the lower groove. Notice that the lower attachment riveted to the rcvr only has about maybe an inch and half of engagement with the mount anyway. No problem. Folding though, had to also trim off some of the mount aft upper area to allow the stock to swing far enough to allow the lock button on the Tromix hinge to lock in the folded pdsition.

The same four SCOTUS socialists as well as Reagans biggest blunder (Kennedy the international socialist) also voted against property rights of the individual in the eminent domain decision a few years ago. If Bro Hussein is elected prez he will be able to make it a socialist majority in the Court. Goodby US Constitution.

I was thinking of just a ball on the end like you see on bolt action rifles. maybe obtain a ball about 1/2 in or less mill down maybe the last 1/4 in. of the existing lever to a rectangular tab milling a matching hole in the ball with an interference fit slot, pressing/brazing the ball onto the tab. I think just lopping off the existing lever and welding a different piece of lever onto the stub isn't the way to go.
-
Anyone ever install a ball end charging lever? Where'd you get it? How'd it work out?
