you are "supposed" to do that but I find that awkward on this gun.. it felt kind of natural on an AR.. maybe it is a weight or balance issue.. but on my Saiga I like the AFG pulled in close to the gun... it is very comfortable to me..

can you measure the base at its widest point? and tallest...

agree completely.. I was attracted to it from a function standpoint.. but the thing is hideous at best..

do not have issues with my DPMS in 308... purchased it used.. cleaned it.. threw a Leupold on it.. sighted it in.. and was getting pretty nice groups.. (which you saw in the other thread..)this rifle still has the factory trigger which I will likely upgrade next.. I am really pleased with the gun.. and at that range with that being my first serious attempt shooting anything other than steel.. A long while back I posted about getting a semi automatic 308... picked up a DPMS and finally had a chance to shoot some paper.. I am not the best shooter in the world so pretty happy with the results.. both shot a little low but I think that is just scope adjustment.. really happy with how the gun shot.. 5 shot groups.. slow from the bench.. I got my nuts from Dinzag so maybe it was not a Tapco? at any rate like I said.. 0 wobble.. any way I can identify it? more curious than anything else..

for what it's worth.. pretty sure it is a tapco PG nut.. but anyway.. what I believe to be a tapco PG nut + tapco bolt + hogue grip for me worked fine.. ZERO wobble.. and yeah I love it.. pics to follow..
