  1. Light weight middy upper with a Cav Arms lower. Saber Defense sells a setup like this from the factory, and call it their Light Saber. 5.87 lbs. I bet you could shave off some more weight if you went with a really light weight upper from Bravo Company with a pencil barrel, a lighter handguard, and no front sight, and one of the last of the Cav Arms polymer lowers. Or you could SBR a Draco Champion (5.45x39 pistol) for her, and use light weight furniture. Or you could SBR a pistol and put a stock on it, but then never get to carry it concealed again due to it being a SBR.
  2. Nevermind. The last pics answered my question.
  3. Am I going to be able to run an XS Tritium Big Dot front sight for HK 91, 93, 94, and MP5? I'm looking for my big shotgun bead, I guess. Don't mind the other 3 pictures, just the top right one.
  4. Got the shipping email today, too.
  5. Beware! If it seems to good to be true, it is. There are lots of great places to go shoot that don't sell you a house/timeshare/religion.
  6. All ready done! I got one of the Vodka specials, and drilled 2 more ports and opened them all up a bit. I can't remember what size, but I do remember that it was the recommended size for a 14" barrel with factory length gas system. I use the gunfixer plug to turn the gas down as it is now.
  7. How about that? I ordered on Friday, and got it on Tuesday over Memorial Day weekend! Looks great, beautiful work, thanks!
  8. Home defense and possibly some competition. Cardboard, bad guys, and zombies.
  9. Can you permanently attach a polychoke? Would that be a bad idea? I like the idea of having a choke. I like the looks of the King Armory unit, the Tromix flash hider, the JTE competition brake #2, and the Phantom hider, so far.
  10. After removing the barrel from the receiver, I am going to cut down my barrel and permanently attach a muzzle device to bring the barrel length down to 18.25 inches. What would you guys suggest? I don't want a spiky door breacher, but other than that I am open to suggestions. The only thing I can see those "teeth" doing for me, is biting my leg. What say you?
  11. My auto mechanic welded the Etac heavy duty backplate on, and welded up the extra holes in the receiver.
  12. Could you ID the recoil pad on this stock for me? Is it a stock pad, or something that needs to be custom fit? It looks like what I want on my Saiga!
  13. It's just an AMD length Ultimak, with a Vltor SMQ-OCG flashlight mount. Here is a better pic of it.
  14. Dude, I love the Technical armor package on your website. I totally need that setup. -Parf
  15. I really like the AR specific hinge. Edited to add: I think the reason I really like it is that I run the stock collapsed down to the castle nut, or run a "stubby" fixed stock, because I need the shortest stock possible. Either hinge can be adjusted so the stock sits higher for better cheek weld.
  16. I've seen pictures of a Firebird magwell, and think that it is a rock and lock type. Maybe SinistralRifleman could tell us about it?
  17. Weaver accessories fit on Weaver or picatinny rails. Picatinny accessories only fit on picatinny rails. Thanks Parf. One more question: Have you ever run the Tasco in the rain? If so, did the optic stay on and usable? It was fine in the rain, but we never get real, all day rainstorms here. Short heavy bursts and then done.

  19. Even though I can and would recommend the Tasco I showed above, I would never buy anything other than an Aimpoint micro for an AK again. It's just freeking perfect.
  20. I saw a similar paint job on another site, and the guy used women's fishnet stockings overlayed to get that effect. Pretty funny, but apparently very effective. (I'm not saying that's what Parf did, though) Mesh laundry bag. Works great. Thanks for the compliments!
  21. I'm going to vote for the Tasco Propoint 1x25mm red dot. I used one mounted to an Ultimak for about 5 years now, and it still works great. Been through multiple carbine classes and still works great. It co-witnesses perfectly with the stock rings. It's not an airsoft red dot.
  22. Lazers belong on sharks heads. Ohh, and J-Frames.
  23. I want to see that video with snap caps or shells in the mags! That looks great, though. I'm excited about getting one.
