    Anyone know where to get BG's for the Flat Trunnion 5.45 Saiga? I just bought one for a X39 for $17.99 from CSS, but they dont have them for the 5.45's, and i really dont want to pay $30.00 for a small piece of metal from one of the dealers here. will a flat trunnion BG for an X39 work in a 5.45 by chance?

    There are no "Polymer 7.62 milsurp mags" available. They're only available new-in-wrap to us here in the USA. Most of the AK-centric vendors sell them. would you consider them to be reliable? are they steel lined? and military tough?

    Hey guys, Ive been looking at the Bulgarian mags a lot lately and ive noticed that there are several types. How do i tell the difference between Milsurp and non military Bulgarian mags? I saw some recently that were non waffle and they had bullets cast in the side of the mag and i really liked them, but i wanted to get some trustworthy knowledge about them first. thanX, -RR

    I just spoke with Greg from CSS about getting a BG for my 5.45 and he e-mailed me back saying that the 7.62 is the only one that needs a BG and the 5.45 can get by with out one...is this true? Ive heard that you can only shoot 20-25 rounds without a BG and not a full mag, but he said he hasnt had any problems...

    yeah, id scoop that fucker up man, thats a good deal! I payed $400 for my Chinese KFS model SKS , but it was still in the original box it was imported in 25+ years ago and still packed in Cosmoline.

    these mags that i found dont have any Armory markings whatsoever...but i was told they are Romanian...is there a way to tell for certain what they are?

    i bought a 4mm drill bit from a vendor than i cant mention here, but it worked like a charm, but you better make sure the holes are EXACTLY where they need to be or you're going to have mad mag wobble! my advice to you after having my head chewed off by Nalioth and a few others is just get a bolt-on trigger guard and bolt your stock mag catch back on and go that route...it will save you a HUGE headache!

    I'm pretty sure 922r doesn't apply to rimfire rifles. That being said, I can see these getting cannibalized for the stocks and trunions alone, lol. thats an EXPENSIVE parts gun! lol

    Funny you mention that, because did exactly that! I emailed RAA and some reason the email wouldnd go through...i tried it several times and nothing worked. I couldnt call because it was saturday at the time, so im gonna wait till monday and try to call them...
